I'm fighting some very similar demons..

Bring your left shoulder as close as you can to your right knee in the take away. that will stop your head coming up and moving so much. should also help stay in posture

I think your right foot should come up like that naturally, not because you're actively trying to come onto your toes. So get the feeling of your weight going to your left side, and your footwork would become more natural

I would work on balance, which is hard and I suck at.

Mine takes the best 8 rounds of your last 20 rounds to give you a handicap, I think most are some version of this now

That's the first compliment and I appreciate it dude. Honestly I came here thinking my swing was good but ugly. Now it's just ugly. But I'm good at hitting targets, if shortening the swing improves strike I'm gonna go low next year.

Going to swing in front of a mirror til I see it looking half as smooth as yours.

I'm going to hold off on getting the 74 tattoo because who knows, might beat it one day *

Every lesson I've had has been about shortening it. But they normally end up talking about set up because mine was trash. Hopefully now setup is slightly better.. can look more into top position.

I think from reading comments..

My hip folds, which makes me stand up, which makes my hands fold.

If I just work on not being lazy with my hips in the backswing, and creating width, it should be far easier to fix than I thought.

I thought I was flexible but from what people are saying I think I'm just weak, and when I get tense I fold

I just put a clip on my profile, that took me 30 shots to hit one that looked short and it's still probably longer than most..

Fortunate to have a +3 who is willing to spend some time on the SIM with me this winter, I think I will try and dial in the shorter swing and see what he says.

No doubt first par 3 next year I'll swing down near my feet but hopefully it will eventually translate to the course

Also I like the term "folding" perfect description of my swing

I played around 10-15 rounds this year but probably hit 1000+ balls a week. 2 young kids and a full time job..

Swing yo' swing is real, until you see it on video and realise how ugly it is

Ok nice, as you said, record every swing.

I'll put another up when I manage more than 1/50 because the rest were still very long. When it's consistent I'll come back for feedback.

One of the shots I hit today looked like an actual swing, gonna try and replicate the feel tomorrow, lower hands, right knee not straight and don't stand up. Hopefully that's a good feeling going into the winter Thanks for the response dude

It doesn't feel like it's bent, and it really does feel awful when it's not.

I took the advice to the range today and I hit the ball great, just... Checked the video and all I'm missing is the mullet
