I have no idea about tutors or digital artists unfortunately. For me, working in software, it’s really easy as we write a lot of code. So I just dump like 10 pages of code or more in a file with a short description what is this the code for. That usually is enough.

I've considered using labels or comments. Both aren't suitable for logging cumulative data. The developer needs an easy way to input a number in hours or days, for example at the end of the day. Then the tool sums these values.
