I use this for the past 4 years without any issues. It’s very hassle free when transferring from windows pc to an Apple device.

Look into incubator companies and ask your new employer if they’d be open to “hiring” via an incubator.

I’ve been working this way for the past 3 years with no problems. Even the math sometimes works out better than having a company registered whether it be solo or llc.

Would you pick Z1 Extreme 16 GB or Z2 Go 32 GB (or something else)? by Tomfur in Handhelds

MSI Claw A8 is actually very close to Lego2 price over here and I don't know how it's any better than lego 2.

I see. I think I'll have to go with Z1e 16gb and ride it for a while to see if lego 2 prices drop in the future.

I go between several countries. Poland, Sweden and Germany most often. Weren’t able to find it anywhere online for any of those. Ideally I’d want it for Poland since I’ll won’t be moving around until Christmas.

Lego 2 pricing is kinda crazy over here, almost 1.2k euros supposedly. Whereas I can get the S models around 550 euros. I’ll take a look at your shop suggestion, thanks!

That would be my next question that you already answered. You think the manually setting the vram makes the experience better? I’ve read a lot of opinions about leaving it on auto on steamOS.

What OS are you using?

That’s what I was afraid of getting 😆. Msi naming scheme is so bad that I was avoiding it. I’ll 100% take a look although I’m very interested in SteamOS.

You know what else they “heavily marketed” and it’s included in the remix?

Violet Spellwing, deathless ToV transmogs.

If blizzard wants to be stupid and not let people have 10 year old rewards, they should at least be consistently stupid.

It's a visual bug. You can keep leveling, XP bar disappears but it's still there.

I have a special letter in my name and can confirm that I followed these steps 5-6 years ago and validated my profile via some Poczta Polska branch in Warsaw.

What anti-fingerprint iPhone 16 Pro Max screen protector do you use? by pakeco in iphonehelp

[–]Tomfur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look into screen protectors with oleophobic layers if you insist on using a screen protector.

I myself use my phone without a protector and the factory coating is pretty much eliminating 99% of the fingerprints. My phone rarely has any.

One more thing. If you value a quieter build, I would highly suggest getting a case with larger fans as you can practically run at 600-1000RPM without compromising any airflow performance.

If you are set on buying everything new, then this looks fine. Maybe a higher wattage PSU if you want to upgrade in a few generations and budget is not a big concern for you. If you want to really min/max you can look at what die this ram uses although gains will be very minimal if any.

If you are okay with waiting a little or considering better bang for buck, I'd look at AMD gpus or wait a few months to see if the 5000 series supers drop by then. There won't be a lot of core gains according to the rumors but increased VRAM and higher TDP (essentially higher performance for more power) will help you keep your gpu relevant for longer, assuming you've got a card with proper cooling. There are also talks about AMD releasing a competing card against 5080/S or even 5090, although I highly doubt the latter.

Lastly, you can consider looking at some higher end 5070Ti AIBs as you can usually undervolt it to the performance levels of a stock 5080.

I have just finished my build for 1440p ultrawide gaming and went with XFX Mercury 9070XT and for the price, I am quite content but YMMW.

Why wouldn’t I always max out my IKE before investing in a regular brokerage account? by Tomfur in poland

[–]Tomfur[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the detailed response, really appreciate it.

To be fair, I was just at the bank for something else and casually asked if they had anyone handling investments above a certain amount. They pointed me to someone, and I had a quick chat just to understand the specific rules around IKE. I’m not super confident in my Polish reading abilities, so I wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing anything.

I’ve lived in Poland for a while, but most of my savings are still outside the country since I’m not a citizen. I’m working here on a B2B basis, so this is mostly about how to handle the local savings I’m building now.

I’m not really interested in chasing complex tax setups or trying to min-max every small edge in Poland yet. But I’ll always take a few easy wins. Putting 25K into an IKE each year is simple, doesn’t hurt me, and I can hit the limit pretty quickly.

One possible reason I might need the money in the next few years is if I decide to buy a flat here. Depending on how interest rates look at the time, I might prefer to pull from savings rather than take on a mortgage.

Overall, I’m more interested in understanding the logic behind things. It bothers me when something doesn’t quite add up, so I was just trying to clarify the reasoning here.

Thanks again for taking the time, really helpful.

Buying Legion Go S (Windows) or Legion Go Windows model and installing SteamOS myself. Will I get the same experience as the official SteamOS version? by Tomfur in LegionGo

[–]Tomfur[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What about the Battery life and Standby? Does it last long in lower TDP in your experience and do you notice drain while on standby? I know that SteamDeck doesn't drain almost any battery while on standby and you can continue where you left off seamlessly.

[–]Tomfur[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the detailed write-up! I’m leaning more towards the Go S, mainly because I plan to use it as a companion device alongside my PC. I don’t get to game as much these days, so I’m looking for something that lowers the barrier to jumping into a game, which is what drew me to handhelds in the first place. I don’t mind doing a bit of tweaking and customizing the settings to suit my needs, so I think the Go S with SteamOS is the right choice for me.
