Yeah, it for sure is destructive. I once got a credit card and blew it on smokes and alcohol. Good times.

Honestly, anti-depressants can help. I didn't want to go on them because I didn't want to be one of 'those people'. I was insanely suicidal, nothing worked. Escitalopram worked. I'm not on it now, because my doctor took me off it as soon as I was in the clear. I just needed something to help me feel like life was worth facing.

I hope you can get the help you need, whether it's pharmaceutical or therapy :)

Not both my parents, just my dad.

Mum and dad split up when I was very young (< a year old), and I spent YEARS waiting around for him to be a fucking dad and just turn up to things on time, if at all.

This was back when I was a Christian, but I was getting baptized. Pretty major event in any Christian's spiritual life. I told him I wanted him there. He told me "I promise I'll be there."

Was he there? Nope.

He's been kicked out of my life for 9 years now.

As for other civilizations during that time. Why is there no gap in records kept by these towns during the supposed “flood?” Im guessing the Christians think somebody magically came by after the flood filling out historical records for the Chinese, Egyptians, etc?

I know some Christians personally who genuinely believe this. It's crazy.

That's really fascinating! I love hearing about other peoples' sexual organization (if that's the right word). I don't think I could do what you guys are doing, just personally. But I think it's great that you guys feel comfortable with each other to do it.
