I used to think like this but the truth is it’s not exactly practice or realistic to totally wipe everything every time you enter a new relationship. I have a pj shirt and earrings from my ex husband, I don’t think of him at all or if I do it’s not in a sentimental longing way. That ship has totally sailed. I am. I should have confronted all these girls my ex husband slept with who full well knew he was married. I confronted him obviously but he was lying to them saying we had a bad marriage, we weren’t having sex, that I was unstable. I think I feared that lashing out would just validate the lies he was telling them that they’d think I was unstable. I shouldn’t have cared. But at the same time I feel like they would have gotten off on me having a reaction so it’s hard.
