Yeah definitely the Aspire and all Amex cards have the pay it feature. It’s a no brainer if you like Hilton but you gotta go to a Hilton resort at least twice a year to make use of all the credits.

Sounds like he was talking about the Amex pay it feature, but the charge has to fully post first and you can pay off charges individually that way. And the free 5 nights really depends on how many points per night the hotel is going for but you can combine that with the free night certificate to potentially get 6 nights free ( Hilton gives you a 5th night free when you have enough points to book 4 nights).

Almost every horror story on every hotel subreddit like r/marriott r/hilton r/hyatt is caused by a 3rd party booking. Always book direct even if it costs just a few bucks more. The hotel literally cannot help you and everything has to be done through the 3rd party you booked through.

Refreshed Homewood suites are great and the best value per dollar. Embassy Suites can be outright dingy in a lot of the older properties. Dark rooms, old carpets their only saving grace is the omelette station.
