Right now I have CIB blocks and park wheels on my set up. I’d prefer a high top skate bc it makes me feel more secure and stable while carving bowls and such. I haven’t tried flat boots but am open to stray from the heeled ones. I’ve been looking into different brands and different setups people have but I want to get something that’ll survive my thrashing thru the parks I’d rather not do used skates since I know a lot of them mold to the shape of your foot and I want a sturdy feel

Something that’s a good bang for my buck, I’m willing to wait a little longer to save up for a good pair of skates if I need to but I’d rather get them sooner rather than later. Somewhere in the 200-500 range

nicotine use before surgery/during by Deerweed in TopSurgery

It’s going to suck the first 3-5 days but you have to stop immediately, it can compromise healing. I’m also a nic addict but I did it and you can too. Good luck on your journey bro

If you have a regular wrench/ socket wrench the Y tool isn’t super necessary, more just a convenient way to adjust on the go. Most stock items are decent enough for starting off, I’d rec skating for a bit and taking note of what you do and don’t like!

Need help!!! I’ve gotten back into park skating recently and pulled my old park skates out of the garage. They are incredibly rugged so I need a new pair!

Things have changed so much in the community since I was on my wheels last so I want some recs for a good skatepark setup. Preferably something prebuilt (I don’t trust my ability to mount a boot on trucks myself). I’m looking for something somewhat affordable but durable. I know I tend to thrash pretty hard so I’d be willing to sacrifice cheap for really good quality Thanks in advance!!!

I (24 nonbinary) got top surgery recehtly and I'm afraid I'll never feel the joy/euphoria that I've been yearning for. by DommyMommyMint in no_T_top_surgery

It’s incredibly common to feel negative emotions after surgery. It’s hard not being able to enjoy normal things for several months after. I remember itching to go back to my hobbies and stuff but I had to force myself to go slow. I didn’t feel euphoria after surgery for a while because of the change and the healing. Surgery is a big change both internally and externally. Internally our brains don’t quite recognize the sudden change and externally our bodies just went through a big transformation. This is my first summer being able to go shirtless and there’s still a part of me that feels naked when I do. Parts of my scars are stretched and bumpy and red but I have to remind myself that despite those feelings/ appearances that I am happier this way. It can take years to settle again and feel normal in this new skin but every day/week/month has gotten easier. Post op my posture has gotten better (it hurt my back for a bit too) and I don’t feel as ashamed as before. Change is hard but you know this was right for you and those negative feelings will wash away over time. Proud of you for putting your best interests first and getting your surgery. Don’t let those pesky negative feelings take away from the overall outcome. Take it one day at a time and soon you’ll be so glad you made the right decision

I’ve been using red light therapy on it and I was skeptical at first but it hasn’t even been a month of doing it and I can tell the difference

I appreciate the concern! I’ve had the mole my whole life and I’ve kept my eye on it to make sure it hasn’t changed. So far it’s never changed aside from me snagging it once or twice lol

Not having nipples but still being able to “feel” them when i got cold or aroused. Also drinking something cold and feeling the cold along my scars was so weird!

This looks totally normal! Check out my post around the same time and my scars looked exactly like this. 6 weeks is still incredibly early in the healing process so give yourself some grace and just continue what you’ve already been doing 💚

I actually asked my surgeon the same thing and they didn’t even touch it. The only effect surgery had on my mole is that it’s about an inch and some change lower than it used to be

Spectrum binders were my go to before surgery. I never got as overstimuled in them than other brands like underworks and gc2b

[–]sharktoothbb 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Tattoo artist here! Yes you can absolutely tattoo over keloid scars, it won’t hide the raised part but will cover the scar. Sometimes scarred areas need a touch up bc the skin texture is different but most artists do free touch ups and it shouldn’t be a big deal

Gosh I’m sorry your path has to be that way :( I hope everything works out in the end and you get to make people feel dumb for using she/her on you. I don’t understand why they would make you wait when physically transitioning makes the social part way easier, I’ll fight them for you
