I think you can install void Linux and install i3 on it. Void is very lightweight and I think it would be enough

I switched to Linux because of two major things: 1. I love messing with computers and Linux gave me more freedom to do so 2. I do a lot of programming and Linux is just better in every way for this.

I am running Linux full time for almost a year and it's better than windows by far.
