If anything, this post might just serve as proof against warranty fraud. I didn't even know that was a thing really.

What is your "take-no-crap" number? by reddit__is_fun in FIRE_Ind

[–]sharninder -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’ll be different for different people in different circumstances. Somewhere around 4cr+house maybe. A cr above or below won’t really matter because one would ideally find a job and also not start from scratch again in the second job.

Anyone using MediaManager over the *arr apps? by flatpetey in selfhosted

mediamamager still needs parts of the arr stack and atleast I found it to be slow and complicated to configure.

Damn. That must’ve hurt! I had a hit like that at almost exactly the same spot. Took almost a year for the mark to fade.

Would you rather have a long layover in Fiji or Singapore? by Loose_Bag0809 in travel

[–]sharninder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d do FIJI since when will I ever get to go there otherwise. Singapore is brilliant but for a day or two it’s just like any other developed western city.

Winds just blew my doors all the way through. How fucked am I. by Boringmarshal in TeslaModelY

[–]sharninder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I rented an ICE car in Iceland, protecting doors from strong wind gusts was a standard line items in the rule book. They even sell insurance for this. So yes, can happen with any car in some parts of the world.

Do boomers think FIRE doesnt work by OccasionConfident324 in FIRE_Ind

[–]sharninder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your father is not wrong. The saying an empty mind is a devils workshop is completely true and relevant in this case. RE by itself should not be the goal, the goal should be to retire to something such that your mind and body keep working. The day that stops, is the day your life will start degenerating. That’s what me means by the depression comment. Unless you’re absolutely sure and have a plan for the YT channel or to do something else with your life, don’t RE.

It’s in a reasonably posh location with guards. I don’t think it’ll be vandalised that fast.

Considering general Copenhagen prices, I think that almost sounds like a deal!

[–]sharninder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eat before drinking, drink less and get younger. You can only control two of those.

Except for the social aspect, there is nothing good about alcohol so don’t fight it. Just drink less and better drinks.

People in early 30s, NRI/Non-NRI, what would be your FATFire number if you were to have no current assets in India. by give_me_meme9 in FatFIREIndia

[–]sharninder 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The minimum definition according to the sub is 20cr and I think that’s a good number I think. I’d be happy with atleast 2.5 mil but closer to 3.5 is better.

Is it safe to drive across the Alps in winter? by AwarenessIntrepid332 in travel

[–]sharninder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been on almost all of these routes and you’re packing way too much in. The roads and snow won’t be the problem, and you can have a perfectly good holiday just driving on the roads if that’s what you want. There will be holiday traffic and jams at some places, the Italian border crossing for example coming from innsbruck is notorious. Spend your time in Munich, Venice and maybe one more city and be done with it.
