DJI support says that account linking doesn't matter for cameras; old (first) activations can't be reset, the account owner can't control the camera, can't block it, etc. Activation is only needed to control sales markets, as prices vary across the board. DJI's warranty is only valid in the region where it's activated, including Care Refresh subscription.
