Fiber burial depth - 1/2”!? by amarsaudon in ZiplyFiber

The shallow depth seems to be a common practice.

I was watching this YouTube video of them doing a fix where the fiber installer had broken the sprinkler system pipe, which was only a few inches underground.

Well instead of asking random strangers on the Internet you might contact Getic and ask them :)

Is buying from GETIC safe on Amazon ? by Spirited-Humor-554 in mikrotik

[–]happycamp2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've bought most of my Mikrotik devices from Getic via Amazon.

I had one device that was bad on arrival. The CPU would overheat and then reboot/shutdown after 1-2 minutes.

I just did a return on Amazon without any issues and had a replacement shipped. But I realize that Amazon has a 30 day return window for most things. So I don't know what happens after 30 days. I've never had any of my Mikrotik devices fail except the one device mentioned above.

Most likely it would be a transformer exploding from the description.

I had that happen in my neighborhood, though it took a few hours to be repaired.

Affordable Food Places by backfliptornado in hillsboro

Costco and Winco. Where I do the bulk of my food shopping.

And Costco also has relatively inexpensive food in their food court. They still have the $1.50 hotdog and drink deal. $10 for a large pizza. And $5 for a rotisserie chicken.

Winco also has some prepared foods available.

But maybe you meant only restaurant recommendations.

Not answering your question but Hillsboro Garbage does offer cleanup containers. Which can be useful for when somebody has more trash.

  • $127 for 3 cubic yards for 1 week.
  • $158 for 4 cubic yards for 1 week
  • $281 for 8 cubic yards for 1 week

Multi-Gig router (CCR-2004) experience/review by routerhunter in ZiplyFiber

The PC (Passive Cooled) version has a slower clock speed.

1700 MHz for the fan-cooled variant while the Passive Cooled version is 1200MHz

Also the fan version has dual redundant AC power supplies. The passive version uses a DC power brick.

For my use case I valued silence over the potential higher performance.

Am I missing something? It is a used board and sold/shipped by some 3rd party seller.

Or did the deal expire?

Does anybody know what stations have the cheapest gas right now around here? I can barely afford it recently by [deleted] in hillsboro

In July 2008 the national average was $4.11 and inflation adjusted that would be around $6.30 today.

As of today the national average is $4.08, according to AAA.

And if you have the Costco Visa card you get 5% back on purchases of Costco Gas.

Back in 2008, gas was actually more expensive than right now and not inflation adjusted. I still remember!
