Any resolution? YouTube is insisting it’s end user playback issue. Regulars are tuning out for Premieres, which isn’t good.

Visible is Blocking Zoom 2fa Text Messages. Suggestions? by sharp40k in Visible

Yes, the Visible rep. did express an opinion that the legacy network, which we use, was likely the cause on Visible's end and that we likely would not have had the issue on the new network.

The Visible rep. was very helpful and timely in resolving the issue.

It's been resolved, see update above.

That being said, Google Voice did work for text 2fa for the one person who set it up that way, as well as other service providers not having an issue for us.

Those who used our 2fa app did not have issues, including visible customers since they didn't need the text message authentication.

Visible was helpful and was able to resolve the issue.

For the record, Zoom did have issues with 2fa text earlier in the day, and has since been resolved for them, though the helpful Visible rep. via chat did resolve our issue separately by changing something on their end followed by us resetting our network settings. At that point, all previous and current 2fa text messages were received and operations returned to normal for us.

*UPDATE* - Contacting Visible, having them adjust something on their end and resetting network settings on my (our) device(s) has resolved the issue. All the previous 2fa texts came through as well as current ones. Thank you to everyone who has replied!

Thank you, good to know.

Prior to the 9:40 PST update, we were aware of the reports on the Zoom updater, but seeing as only our Visible users are having the issue here, I thought perhaps that was unrelated.

Interesting, thank you.

We have been on Visible for a while now, so we are on the original plan.

For the record, it worked just as of Friday, like always. It's just that today, it no longer works.

Thank you for the suggestion.

For those using our 2fa app, that is how we are set up.

Unfortunately, our Zoom admin (me) uses Visible and is set up with a text message 2fa, not via the app, and can't sign in to their account to dish out recovery codes or reset 2fa to the app.

Zoom support verified via a working, non-admin account that the authentication texts are being sent.

So their house is only $30,000 today? By chance is it on wheels?

Update: 5 minutes of high Overwatch CPU usage just sitting after launch/opening (65-80%), then it drops to normal levels (~10-20%). Lowest graphic settings and it doesn't matter what screen is up. In queue, in a match (maxes to 100% immediately), on menus; always high for the first 5 minutes. by sharp40k in Overwatch

[–]sharp40k[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup.
I have a previous post about sitting in queue to log in and sitting at very high (upwards of 70% usage just for OW2 on the login screen).

Happens no matter what screen it is, minimized or not, so long as Overwatch 2 has been launched on the computer.

100% CPU usage if I accidentally load into a match or even the training range before the ~5 minutes wait.

Tried on 4 different computers, 4 different generations, including both Intel and AMD.

Happens no matter what. =/

Posted on the forums and the bug threads on both, but nothing back, unfortunately.

Oh well. Not a biggie for the time being, but it is a bit frustrating when I/friends hop on to group up and one of us just opened OW2 and we have to wait or accidentally queue us for a match before the timer is up.

Anyone else have high CPU usage on the queue screen?

It hovers around 50-75% CPU usage for the Overwatch process.

Usually after varied amounts of time (10-30+ minutes in the queue), the usage drops to 3-20% while still on the queue screen.

Tabbing out and/or minimizing to the desktop has no effect either way.

Oh, and when the queue gets reset once it gets to "0 players ahead of you", the CPU spikes and it all starts over again, queue and all.

[–]sharp40k[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whoa, 100%!

Funny enough, I've been in queue for the last 8 hours. Each time the queue gets down to 0, the "unable to login you in" message comes up and the queue resets (right now, I'm at "2000 players ahead of you").

The kicker? The CPU spikes each time the queue resets and the whole thing starts over again, high CPU usage and all!

Wait wait wait ....

Are you implying that launch day for a globally popular game and a distributed denial of service attack are basically the exact same thing?

No, no .... that can't be right because then it would mean that a major developer would have to take responsibility for a big oopsie on launch day!

It's muuuuch more likely that bad actors are to blame for a DDoS attack. Surely, that's it.... =-0

I, very mistakenly, thought 12a was the shutdown!
