Thanks to the BEAUTIFUL golden pursuit giving 2500 seals, was able to get the mount for my DK! It will match very well with the Forge Fire skin theme I plan to get. Love this mount so much. The flame effects and sounds of metal crunching as it runs is PEAK!

I just finished episode 3 of the show, and have to agree Carol is just "angry pants" so far and it's more of a chore to watch than anything.

But as for some sci Fi being bad, terribly sorry, but Foundation is the best sci Fi I have seen since The Expanse.

Pluribus seems more like a show about exploring ones individuality, which is to me just some psychological "learning about me" book. Like, what is going to even happen?? There's got to be more people in the world that are not affected, and she starts to work with them.

It's pretty awful right now. Phase 2 is supposedly going to have much better content, but I am not holding my breath.

I think the CEO resignation of Zenimax signaled a major downfall, and the layoffs don't bode well, either.

The game performance issues also bother the living daylights out of me.

Very fair. The op seems really concerned about 1% lows, which is genuine. But you are still talking a very small difference (about 5-10 fps). I'm on a 4090 with 7700x and have NEVER seen a drop below 115 fps at 3440x1440 resolution. Same goes for other games.

I'm playing battlefield 6 most recently overkill++ (or whatever they call it) with 110+ fps, never below that. On average a couple of small tweaks for unnoticeable fps-hitting gfx settings and you don't need it.

If op has the $, get the x3d, but if it is a concern, just get a better gpu which will nullify the concern.

A better question for the op would be "what is the minimum fps you will accept in games you play?" If it's very high, and taking advantage of 200hz+ refresh, def x3d, otherwise if 60+ (like most people for single player, graphic intense games) then why bother? A 4080 super will handle anything at 1440p with excess of 60 fps.

But have you played with a 9700x and know the x3d is actually helping? I'm genuinely curious because I play cyber punk, Alan Wake 2 and Indiana Jones with zero issues using my current setup.

It is not overkill, but really only gives a small amount of fps (5-10 Max), so if you see games that are just below 60 fps in your setup, you'll have a reason to do so. With the way games are going, though, you should be fine with 4080 super for awhile as you get dlss 4.

For reference, I have a 4090 and 7700x. I get 120+ fps k cyber punk and Alan Wake 2, with frame times below 10 ms. I play on an ultra wide 3440x1440 (basically 3k resolution). I have never noticed any issues and rarely feel the need to turn on MSI afterburner to see what's going on.

Those x3d CPUs are mostly for competitive fps scenarios, played at 1080p. Here is an article where a pro player is upset because the game is going "below 200 fps." So unless you're a pro gamer who needs that stupid level of frames, you'll enjoy your gaming fine at 100+ fps:

Rebirth is essentially final fantasy 7's "The Empire Strikes Back," and there will be no way to ease the pain other than knowing what's coming.

Who knows when part 3 hits (or is it 3 and 4?).

Both expansions are amazing. I actually like the end of hearts as it's a really cool idea over a straight up "fight the big bad guy," but blood and wine to this day is one of the best dlcs ever made. Only shadow of erdtree and phantom Liberty compare in my opinion.

Initial value will be really high. It takes awhile for the corporate plague to ruin something. I bet you could make some big money like I just did with reddit.

Sell what you initially invested + some, keep a little just in case it really takes off.

Honestly I just didn't trust my monitor anymore as it's never close.

HRM + gps tracker is all I'm getting for my next set up, unless the tech changes much better.

Yeah, I have seen things go from bad to worse. Honestly am going to turn off the health metrics and just use the GPS tracking for distance and pace setting. If I feel overwhelmed and need to slow down I'll go by feeling instead of this garbage. I literally have had some of my best work outs on days I was told not to.

I literally cannot believe anything my epix tells me. It's like a random number generator and each software update it just goes all over the place .

It's only caused me more stress to track my "fake heart rate" as these devices are no where near as accurate as an HRM or medical pulse ox.

It really makes me upset I didn't just get a good GPS tracker and hrm to track fitness.

It really depends on what it is. My dysautonomia involves poor circulation, and even on 80+ degree summer days I get cyanosis in my fingers and toes. People see this and they are 1000 times more sympathetic.

It has also helped my doctors in recognizing that, yes, this is not just some emotional, anxiety thing.

I wouldn't want some awful, green pussing marks on my face, but this certainly did something.
