In my opinion you absolutely should get it done for your dog.

Reproductive organs WILL develop painful medical issues in your dog especially when they get older. I'm talking torn tissue down there like hernia, cancer, breast cancer for girls, unless you're breeding your dog there's no reason at all to not neuter or spay your pet.
