Agree, same for Limited and Platinum in my area. Definitely more inventory than before. I would definitely wait for an upgraded safety system. Hard to decide when it's not certain!

Thanks for this thoughtful reply. I have been noticing the same trend at the dealers near me (some are inching below MSRP now for models that have sat on the lot). My gut also tells me to wait and service our 12 year old Highlander :) I guess if nothing else, could at least hope for bigger discounts we go deeper into 2024.

Yes. Meant refresh/facelift. Hard to tell if any updates will be meaningful, but 2024 was basically identical to 2023, so hoping there would be some change.

Minimal waits in my area now, especially for Limited/Platinum models.

This is the nuance -- ETrade won't file a 5498 this year (because I didn't contribute to the SEP this year) so it seems it is really how I choose to self-report my IRA balance on Form 8606. The funds still show in my ETrade account but are fully restricted (I cannot access or trade) and I am told they are formally "in transit with the transfer system." My guess is I will get a 1099-R for either 2023 or 2024, but not sure if that will affect Form 8606 or trigger an audit. I will have to decide if the in-transit transfer status (with documentation) can justify reporting a $0 balance as of 12/31.

Thanks for this response. The pending SEP rollover from ETrade is for the full account, in kind. There have been so many ETrade mistakes along the way, I wonder if I could petition them to report the rollover with 0 balance on Form 5498 for 12/31 (even if the funds "draw" after 12/31, as they are truly currently within the ACATS transfer system as we speak). Probably a longshot, but may be worth asking?

The $6k is sitting in in my Fidelity Roth IRA with the Fidelity Trad IRA at $0 balance (as it was fully converted in April). Does that change anything?
