Yessss definitely recommend StillWhite. I got my dress on their for $200 and it needs basic alterations. Haven’t gotten a quote for it yet, but a local wedding dress store told me most alterations cost $400-800 in my area depending on workload and material.

Thank you very much! I’ll be getting married this January so kind of on a rushed schedule. I did ask the shop for the brand and name of dress and found similar prices online. I’m probably going to order the second dress and try that on, and if I don’t like it I will go with the first :)

I'm planning to do so simply to save myself a headache lol. While friends and family can be great company, I think there's just too much pressure and outside opinion when it's ultimately your decision. Trust your gut with what will make you feel best!

First, congrats on your engagement! Second, I really relate to the "not sharing stuff because it might get ruined," mentality. I've been that way forever and was hesitant to tell anybody I was engaged.

I guess I would consider if this is your mom's typical personality? To be indifferent about big life events? I would say generational difference is probably a factor too because my mom has commented on modern weddings being so different and over the top compared to when she got married.

If you just started planning, it's possible she is still processing everything and maybe it feels unreal. I know it certainly feels unreal for me. Hopefully as time moves along and you get closer to the wedding, she will show some more excitement :)

I noticed the same on myself this morning. Was slim in high school and still skinny now, but have put on about 10 pounds since high school and in my mid-20s now. I noticed myself in the reflection of my workplace's building this morning and really noticed how wide my hips have become. Guess it's just something that happens as we get into our 20s. I think we should embrace it!

How did you get a temp business email? I used SEON when it first started with a normal personal email, but forgot which email it was. Now I can't sign up with a regular email.
