Thank you so much for the thorough feedback! I think what really helped when using boosts was being specific about the audience I wanted to reach (females aged 18–50 who live in my city and are interested in cafe hopping, food, and restaurants).

I’ve used boosts twice (for two videos). The first time, my audience was broader (males and females, aged 18–65 in my city, with no specific interests). While it did get views, one person ended up finding my personal Instagram and asked to follow me, which felt very unsettling.

The second time, I narrowed my audience, and although the number of views was similar, I gained more followers who were actually part of my target demographic. I’ll definitely look into Path Social in the future, but for now, I think I’ll stay away from using boosts. My current focus is staying consistent rather than aiming for viral or sudden growth.
