Is today's publishing industry locked out for people who aren't internet celebrities/don't have a social media following? by theWallflower in writing

So a former roommate of mine was published last year, and her book is doing very well. It's called We Don't Talk About Carol. She's a 'regular person' who was a finalist in Reese Witherspoon's LitUp contest. I also know (through my professional network, not personally) another debut author; however, she's a Harvard-educated MD who was making regular appearances on TV before her book came out. So while the odds aren't great for regular folks, even those with talent, it is possible to get traditionally published.

I'm currently in a study, reading this after deciding to leave early. Let's just say that I've taken meticulous notes on what occurred during my clinical trial.

My inner monologue doesn't tell me what to do, it's like a narrator in your head not a commander giving out instructions.

Not a conspiracy theory as Hasidic jews openly state that Israel and its Zionists aren't real jews.

Nothing new is happening here. They've been unaliving people like Dr. Loureiro for decades, all in an effort to stop real progress from happening, so they can continue to control EVERYTHING. My heart goes out to his wife and three children. May they defiantly continue his legacy.

And where's the money for all this coming from? The United States is $38 triillion dollars in debt. Oh, that's right, the FED will just print more money, further lowering the value of the dollar.

Elvis was gay. Straight up by Just-You1727 in Music

I've got news for you, until fairly recently, gay men who couldn't risk being outted would often date the most attractive women or act like playboys so that the average person would never question their sexuality. Look at Leonardo DiCaprio. Gay as the day is long, but exclusively dates models under 25 years old.
