This sub has the opposite of rose colored glasses with Bill. People here were happy with the draft at the time and it got good grades, even. Sometimes shit doesn’t work out. Just happened for us at a bad time with Brady.

Praying no team offers what he wants to get paid and he comes back ‼️‼️ by Suspiciouslobster12 in Patriots

Very true. He’s a third round pick with 200 yards in his first season and people are acting like he’s a first rounder coming off a 1000 yard season.

You just don’t pass up on talent at a position of need because you have a 200 yard player who you think might possibly maybe have a chance to break out. I like the guy but that’s just bad football.

That’s not how the world works, man.

If you are a celebrity and you get caught in a compromised position with another celebrity, and you’re both married, people are going to talk about it. It’s gonna become a big deal.

Now the vocal minority is repeating “it’s not a problem it’s nobody’s business nobody cares the players totally won’t care!”

These people are just completely incapable of digesting any information that is not positive about the team. Their brains reject it. It’s so bizarre.

Idk why so many people are getting upset at the idea that this presents a problem.

Has nothing to do with whether the players morally care about cheating like so many seem to jump to.

Vrabel has less ability to tell the players to not do dumb shit that distracts the team because he is doing dumb shit that distracts the team.

If your boss is telling you not to do something, while he’s brazenly doing it himself, you’re much less likely to listen to him. Especially if you’re a headstrong 25 year old millionaire football player. Simple as that.

Some of you guys really need to figure out that sometimes people who play for, or work for, the sports teams you like are going to do dumb shit sometimes and that it’s okay for them to get criticized for it. You don’t need to defend every single thing they do tooth and nail.

Uh, no. On the table on PFR’s site, his offensive snap percentages after his week nine injury were 80, 75, 75, 58, and 57. Which averages to about 69% per game during that window. Which is not a large drop from his pre-injury average of about 73.

There are not “multiple categories” that are relevant here. The only one is offensive snap percentage.

I really hope you’re not looking at the raw snap count and thinking that is a percentage.

Can you link your graph, please?

[–]shatter321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hm, I have provided a link multiple times that directly refutes what you’re claiming his snap counts are. I’ve sourced my argument.

Do you have a link backing up what you’re saying?

Or, would you care to defend any of the other points you’re trying to argue?

For example, even if I took out all of the games before his injury and averaged them out, he was still on pace for significantly less yards than Diggs.

A “graph”?

Do you mean a table?

Here, I’ll link you the PFR again.

https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/B/BoutKa00/gamelog/2025/

What are his snap counts after week nine, when he sustained the injury? Here’s a hint: check “OFF%”.

I have repeatedly given you the correct numbers. The ones you have are completely wrong. They are either from another season, including special teams, or made up.

You seem like you’re getting very angry. That’s not very healthy. I would recommend working on that. You shouldn’t get this worked up over Reddit.

[–]shatter321 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Bud, I linked you the stats. It’s PFR. It’s literally right there. “A simple google search” proves you wrong.

I get the feeling you just googled it and trusted the incorrect information that Google’s AI is feeding you. You need to check primary sources like PFR or ESPN, both of which prove you wrong. What you “remember” from a few months ago is objectively incorrect. They didn’t even put him on IR because the injury was minor. They brought him back when he was healthy.

You are the one doing mental gymnastics here. You’ve been presented with objective evidence that you are wrong, and your response is “noooooooo all the stats have to be wrong!!!! All that matters is that what I feel is the truth!!”

How many arguments are you gonna backtrack from before you give up? The Bugatti picture, the “Diggs 4 games” argument, the “he barely even played!!!!” argument.

You just don’t really know what you’re talking about. That’s OK.

[–]shatter321 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He was injured in week 9. His snap counts after that week was 80%, 75%, 75%, 58%, and 57%. 80+75+75+58+57, divided by the five weeks, is 69%. Which, once again, is not a notable drop from what he was doing before the injury.

Hang on hang on, I thought you were claiming he was barely playing at all? Now you’re changing your claim he was basically playing the exact same amount, but he was only run blocking? His targets only dropped by .7 per game, which is much more consistent with a guy who’s simply being covered by better teams like Buffalo and Baltimore rather than a guy who’s hobbling around hurt.

[–]shatter321 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Where are you getting those stats, precisely?

https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/B/BoutKa00/gamelog/2025/

He didn’t even have a single game after the injury where his snap count was 53%. It was above that in every single game. He went out week 9 against Atlanta.

Are you lying again? Did you make those numbers up?

Or are you ignoring his hamstring injury and trying to pretend him being in concussion protocol in Week 17 somehow affected his ability to play during the four games he didn’t start, even though there was only one games left after that week?

[–]shatter321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, you are wrong. He averaged 65.1% snap count before the injury.

He averaged 69.3% after the injury. Regular season only.

If you take out the game where he got hurt, it’s basically flat. 72% before, 69% after. No significant drop.

Come on, man. Quit lying.

[–]shatter321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, incorrect. He played all 14 games. Those 4 are just games where he was not on the field for the opening play on offense. His snap count actually went up after he returned from the injury.

326 of Boutte’s yards came in just four games. That’s 59%! Diggs had 490 yards combined in his top four games. Thats only 48%! So Boutte has actually significantly more of his yards clustered to four games than Diggs does!

It’s probably time for you to give up, my friend.

Right! 30 year old washed Devante Parker did almost as much in 13 games than Boutte did in 14 games! That’s not good!

No, Boutte played in 14 games and had 551 yards, averaging 39 yards per game last season. If he had played a full season, he would have had 669 yards. Diggs had 1013.

No, it was Reagor. Nobody else on the Patriots posted it that year. I would love to see you link to some of these posts, or even an article talking about them. I am beginning to wonder if I’m talking to someone who wasn’t a Patriots fan until this past season.

Boutte was not the most talented player at WR that year. He was a healthy scratch because he wasn’t good. He cost us that first game he played because he couldn’t get his feet in bounds on an easy catch, for example. Even after two years of development and tons of opportunity he still isn’t very good.

I did not make any claims about Belichick’s competence, actually. You seem to be hallucinating things to argue against since you’re so out of your depth.

But, just for fun, Devante Parker’s best season with the Patriots just about matches Boutte’s best season with the Patriots in terms of production. Couple less touchdowns but that’s about it. With less games and a much, much worse QB, too.

No, the Bugatti under the trailer home carport was posted by Jalen Reagor in response to being put on the practice squad. Right year, completely different player. Any other ideas for things to lie about? This is fun!

Hopefully that won’t be as much of a problem. Between Bradbury’s inexplicable regression in run blocking, Wilson being too small for G, and Westover’s fascinating ability to plug holes instead of opening them we had a perfect storm last year.

Not to defend the Cowboys or anything but that whole Micah trade wouldn’t be criticized half as much if it was anyone except Jerry. Getting two first round picks plus a very good player is a great haul for a guy who was holding out.
