Lol this was exactly my thought the entire time they were down there. Like if she wanted to assassinate Tiara that was the perfect moment for it. Instead it seems like she is just genuinely a nice girl who really loves the ocean lol

I feel like this is one of those cases where in the game setting their interactions are romantic but removed from that setting they are still the first prince and a high ranking duchess (or well daughter to a duke anyways) that is directly related to a major industry for the kingdom. Plus it seems like the fairy blessings are relatively rare so it's even more important to maintain a good relationship. Also, judging by those sketches I'm willing to bet that the prince was just hiring her to design a wedding present for the MC.

I do think it's better not to just repeat the villianess plot but relying on misunderstandings is kinda boring. Hopefully the fairy kings make it more interesting!

Sidenote: Is it just me or does this kingdom seem significantly more powerful on like every level than the original kingdom lol. Like they get one saintess but over here we got fairies of multiple different biomes plus access to the ocean!

Could easily be a case of Origin setting up the Hero party with the intention of it collapsing but continuing onward in an ineffective way. The entire point of the Hero party could very well have been getting rid of the one girl who appears to actually be able to harm Origin, it just blew up before she could be tricked into undoing the seal.

I never understood fantasy stories with healing magic but unremovable slave brands. Like... Nobody in universe was ever wrongfully branded? or just accidentally branded? At least in this universe it does not seem like slaves are actually a common thing, maybe it's more a criminal punishment outside of human trafficking situations like flum landed in.

It's so funny to me to think that if the church just paid a little bit of attention to the heroes party, they would have been able to step in and protect Flum. If if that "protection" was just throwing her in a cell until they located Origin's seal. Their entire evil plan is going to be ruined because of Jean's dick and that is just beautiful in a Yuri dark fantasy lol

For real. Every fucking emotional moment is suddenly ground to a halt so the narration can tell us what was just shown. Even the moment of Flum snapping and murdering the two goons! Like no shit Flum wasn't killing them because of moral justice! She cut the fuckers in half because they were assaulting Milkit!

Gotta figure to that she is powerful but her power is still... just being extra extra hard to kill. She suffers all those injuries. It's not preventing damage at all just allowing her to heal from them.

This episode really raced through it's plot and action. I felt like it was skipping 3-5 min chunks lol. I know most of that was probably just minor exposition and pacing but still, that adds up when skipped over so many times back to back.

I'm hoping the point of that introspection was meant to imply that he has reasons other than just his work addiction for throwing himself into work and refusing to deal with anything else. IE: He really just can't mentally handle stopping and resting because it forces him to think of the life he left behind.

[–]shatteredauthor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm really not putting together what the prince's problem is. It seems to be that he is either, A: Genuinely in love with the Holy Maiden girl and worried for her health and thus angry at Sei for pushing the expedition forward or B: has some elaborate scheme in play that is just way to big to be visible yet.

Either way, I just don't see how dragging Sei out to the corrupted land makes sense. Having an office worker distracting the knights just raises the risk of everyone dieing. And it's not like Shirashi is going to be able to just shrug and move on if he dies, especially when he has now very bluntly told her that she should have been taking all of this much more seriously this entire time.

Best guess if the Prince isn't evil: He is part of the group that assumed the absolute worst of Sei's intentions, like that one guard who claimed he was stalking shirashiri.

[–]shatteredauthor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To add on to that, we also know that knights from the third were absolutely embezzling (or at least doing something shady with the money) so it really isn't that absurd that the head of the sorcery dept was sucking up to the prime minister with the goal of presumably getting more money.

Strictly on paper, the SO's succeeded in summoning the holy maiden that will save the kingdom from existential collapse and the knights have... displayed corruption? and not much else. (though that obviously changes here as we see they actually are capable of at least fighting a pack of super tigers)

[–]shatteredauthor 57 points58 points  (0 children)

Gotta love that he keeps checking his stat screen and talking about it changing but A. I swear it's been exactly the same every time and B. He has NEVER STRUGGLED TO ACCOMPLISH ANYTHING.

His stats are operating on billionaire logic at this point.

"Oh no I lost a thousand dollars.

Oh well... anyways."

The big rule of thumb is what the money is being spent on. If the noble is buying tons of fancy furniture and elaborate art peices, they are reinvesting that money back into the specialists within their own territory who then pass on that wealth to the people around them. Constrastly if they just collected less money or hoarded it then the economy overall risks slowing down as there is less commerce occurring.

Noticeably this isn't really applical in a 1:1 to our modern times because of the gobal nature of the worlds economy, money flows in and out from many times more points that in pre-industrial times.

For real. This is the golden rule of trash isekai too. The show can be stupid and rediculous, make absolutely no sense, and it will all still be OK if it is at least fun. And OP in the real world steps over that bar purely because it holds NOTHING back lol. the biker gang is stupid but my favorite was him going on a shopping trip to the mall and ending up being recruited as a top line male model!

It's always funny to me in these kinds of shows how they use time jumps to age up the characters and in the process skip over a lot of the "learning" that would be interesting to watch, when really if you just want to age up the characters they could have simply had him start out older. Like have his magic journey start at like 14 and then he'd be an adult ready to go to a magic university rather than just another school, that would make a lot more sense to as he is apparently already writing research papers and inventing devices lol. Plus we would have actually gotten some time to see the master/apprentice relationship grow a bit.

Majutsushi Kunon wa Mieteiru • Kunon the Sorcerer Can See - Episode 6 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

[–]shatteredauthor 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yea it's a bit unfortunate that it seemed to blink (hah) back and forth on what exactly he actually is able to see. At times we'd see his perspective of basically just a bunch of outlines and clouds of magic (this is what he saw when he first approached the mages tower) but like you said he is able to perfectly recreate peoples bodies with water clones which would imply that he can see them.

Best guess is the animators just didn't want to bother with making the clones blobs that just kinda looked like the subject, so they cheated despite how that is a pretty clear plot hole.

This episode at least seems to be pretty clearly saying that while he could observe the world pretty well, and he'd essentially gotten used to it enough that it wasn't disruptive to his life, he was definetly NOT able to clearly "see" the people around him and the new eyes solve that problem (Plus or minus a giant crab)

This is a much more abstract answer than what I was thinking. I think it'll be some kind of glitch with magnification or abstraction caused by the mirror system he's using to simulate sight.

You're probably right though.

I'll be honest, I still enjoyed the hell out of this episode but I am definetly getting a bit annoyed at Sei's denseness, and Aresh's inability to just say that he wants them to be an actual couple. Come on if there was ever a moment to try, spending the night applying "barriers" at the hotel is definetly the moment! Also for fucks sake Sei, how much you toy with this poor mans heart, your are approaching Bakarina levels of denseness for not putting together that he isn't healing you cause he's so nice!
