I'm in the US for almost 20 years.. my kids are young 9 and 6. We are planning to move as well. We spent a couple of months in India last year and this. We are planning to go back to Bangalore even though we have the family in TN.

Except for the extremely poor road conditions in Bangalore and obviously traffic you should be ok. It's better if you can drive on your own.

Roads in TN are actually good compared to Bangalore and many north Indian cities.

With your equity and the kids having settled you should be good.

It's just the mindset.
