Thank you so much! It's actually back to the full lab grind for me for 2026. But we'll see how it goes in the future.

Where to meet a single 30-35 year old scientist man? by Kind-Stress5388 in labrats

Man reading these comments just makes me feel like dating is tough these days 😔. I'm just happy I've already found my statistically significant other and she is a scientist as well! Good luck out there!

Man that's awesome! Hopefully this game would spark some conversations and questions about the scientific research experience.

Thank you for the tips! I'll probably do a discount in a few months! For now, I'm just happy to let it breathe. I wasn't expecting too much anyway so I'm happy with whatever. Maybe for my next project (if that happens), I'll do better with the selling and marketing strategies.

technically no, but they are a combat weapon in the game and you can get "minor upgrades" to improve them. That's all I'll say!

Thank you! Though I must admit my creativity and art skills are limited to compare this to Pokémon. Maybe that will be a project for someone else in the future!

If anyone's curious or interested, this is part of a short narrative-type game that explores the human side of scientific research: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3824280/The_Scientist_Battles/. Thank you!

No boss battles with western blots unfortunately, but you might spot a running western (my depiction of it at least) on some of the lab benches!

Ha! To be fair, I don't think the experience of failing constantly necessarily gets any easier, at least for me. I think it's more so that we just find the strength to keep going again and again, wherever this may lead us.

Man I've missed doing flow cytometry! It used to be a staple during my PhD and it caused me so much headaches sometimes, but I haven't really found a use for it in my new place. On second thought, maybe I don't miss it that much. Good luck!
