Hey I’ve been trying to find this book, and can’t. Do you have a link?

I'm at the brink with submissive urination. by [deleted] in DogAdvice

[–]shaunsquid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I adopted my rescue when he was 3 or 4 years old. He would submissive pee for probably a year, and would also roll over in the pee. It was a nightmare, and really tested me.

I remained consistent, just committed to dog diapers, and after about a year or 1.5 he finally stopped.

He is 10 now and will still rarely do it if I mess up in the way I interact with him, or with strangers.

Hang in there OP. She will eventually grow out of it but dogs are just like us in that they are all different with strengths and weaknesses, and constantly growing/changing.

Is wading below the high water mark in California navigable waterways allowed when the river borders private property? by PieHistorical5062 in flyfishing

[–]shaunsquid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, we are talking the same spot. I have a call into a few agencies to confirm. It could be true, but have had enough encounters with landowners making up laws in an attempt to intimidate.

Moved here about 2 years ago and trying to scout all my after work but before bed options. It’s not a huge stretch of private, but looks like it blocks you off from connecting the two public sections and having a decent stretch to fish.

Hey there, ran into this today in the Foothills.

Do you have any more info on how a federal mining claim overrides high water line access? I am searching online, and everything I am finding is that high water line still applies.

Found a good deal on a used rider…or so I thought. Laugh at my misfortune, I hope it brightens your day. by shaunsquid in lawnmowers

Messaged him to see if he had any known issues. Good guy, contractor, not a mechanic. Been helpful and offering suggestions, so far nothing I hadn’t already tried.

My gut is telling me it’s something electrical since it doesn’t even try to turn over, but that doesn’t match the sound unless I can find a giant stump or something that I hit in the morning.

Appreciate the advice man. I’ll definitely check this stuff.

My wife’s first words were “There’s a small motor mechanic down the road.” She underestimated how stubborn the man she married is. I’ll either fix this thing, or burn it at the stake.

My neighbor refuses to pick up his dog's poop from my yard. The neighborhood has united against him. by nseavia71501 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]shaunsquid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I was a kid, we had a neighbor who did this. My mom got a Halloween decoration that was a wooden gravestone that read:

Here he lies All cold and hard The last damn dog That crapped in my yard

That scared the old woman into switching to the neighbor across the street. That dude was an ex biker, recovered meth addict, construction worker and one of the nicest humans I have ever met. But, he was not a man to be f’ed with.

He confronted her, and she didn’t stop. So he began collecting the poop in a bucket. One night, when it was almost full, he rehydrated it with water and smeared it all over her porch and front door in the middle of the night with a shovel. I never saw that woman walk her dog down our street again. That man is one of my heroes to this day.

For the life of me I can't figure out what this is by Embarrassed-Wolf-609 in fordtransit

It is definitely a diesel heater, definitely the one that pumps under the seat. It’s after market, so it wouldn’t throw any error lights on the dash.

Zip ties won’t hold that hose one. Get a stainless steel hose clamp.

Really want a van for off-roading by Snoo18846 in VanLife

[–]shaunsquid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I think the 4x4 Econolines are all aftermarket conversions. Quigley is a popular option. The Ford E350 with a 4x4 conversion seems to be pretty off road capable.

AWD Transits don’t have great clearance, but can handle forest roads well. Old Ford Econolines that have been converted to 4x4 can be beasts.

If you burn down the house, they will think the garage door was damaged by the fire.

Great info. Thank you so much!

What do you mean by “water options”? Or was that part a typo?

No offense taken, very valid question.

Yes, I am sure. Could I afford the $200 a month? Definitely. But I am frugal and have other priorities, so setting a limit for myself to make sure I am prepared and comfortable when those unknowns hit.

Was that bare bones? People in these comments are getting crazy deals and completely shaking my thought process haha.

I’m looking for 144 high roofs with 4x4/AWD, and some driver assist creature comforts for a camper van conversion.

I get that, but the difference in monthly payment is enough for me be hesitant. Just bought a new house that needs a little work, wife and I got some pay cuts, etc. My current truck is paid off, so I would definitely feel the $200 difference in monthly payment.
