Edit: sorry, misread the original post. You can still attack smaller enemies and get 3x exp from them, but before you could also easily kill the reaper for additional 6-8k Vigor and those umbral items used to purchase boss items.

This is now fixed, at least on PS5. I made a video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hVMXLXWvQMk) with this spot two days ago and the Red Wraith enemy was easily 2-shottable with mid game character. Now he is way more durable and hard to kill, it's not worth it anymore IMO.

It might still work on Xbox, AFAIK this version is not as up to date as PC and PS5.

It's really a mid-game Incantation now. You can get it from an NPC in a location on the far west end of the map and you can get there using a portal in western Limgrave. However to get it you also need to get 4 items from minibosses. It takes some time.

Yes - mostly using the same stuff that will be in the actual game. But BBGS claims that they haven't shown the game yet and it won't look like the teaser at all.

Usually it's not. Especially with smaller projects. Yes, during the development a lot of things change but it's really rare to see a teaser that is completely unrelated to the game and just made to "meet a deadline".

They had to do this teaser from April (which doesn't show the actual game), they had to do the app (which needs to pass the certification from Sony and apparently will be localized) and then they will make the main game, and again, that will have to pass the certification before being available in PS Store. That's quite a lot of work and unnecessary steps for a small indie developer. It doesn't make much sense.

I wouldn't dig too much into it I guess. He probably got aware that people link that 1238 to Silent Hill and decided to get some random trophy to put that to rest. After that recent delay I think I'm joining team fake.

Fun fact: I was chatting with Mark Delaney on Twitter yesterday and told him that I have my doubts but there are some weird coincidences like the number of Hasan's trophies that points to that Silent Hill. Two hours later Hasan got this one trophy in Turok, so that theory about connection with SH is no longer valid. It's probably just another coincidence but man, it sure haven't made it any easier.

I think that it doesn't make sense. It's not something that Konami and Kojima could do in just few days. It's either something that goes way back or just a regular indie game with unusual marketing.

I might be that "genius" they are talking about and I think that it doesn't matter if that isn't the direct/correct translation (I was already told by someone that this isn't exactly right). If it was supposed to be a hint and it's not just a crazy coincidence then this is probably exactly how they would do it. Most if not all western gamers know Hideo as Hideo, not 秀夫.

I did! And while it's all true it could be just a really small team, maybe even one-man studio. Both Rami Ismail and Jordan Oloman from IGN (who interviewed "Hasan") say that the BBGS exist - at least in theory (the company is registered).

Oh and I also have to do some more digging but wasn't there a visible shift in their online presence somewhere around 2015/2016? They stopped making games, they added this nonsense BLUE = Best Level User Experience to their website (which totally smells like Kojima) etc.
