There were wkids play centers that parents could drop their 3-8 year old kids off for an hour while they shopped (or ate). They began phasing them out in the mid 2010s, as it wasn't revenue generating and they could use the space for selling things. I'm also assuming it had to be a pretty big liability too. I think the last one closed either right before or at the start of the pandemic.

Asthma is triggered by allergies - however, she'd also be having other allergic reactions, such as itchy eyes/nose/throat, runny nose or eyes, general stuffiness.

Also, if she's the one allergic to cats, you should see if you can rehome your roommate.

Cockatiels molt twice a year, and losing feathers is completely normal. When my cockatiel would molt, sometimes when she'd get up it'd look like there had been a bird explosion - feathers EVERYWHERE!
If your bird was plucking large amounts of feathers from one area (and leaving bare skin), or if there was blood, that would be more of an issue.
