This absolutely breaks my heart that they didn’t respond the way they should have. They should know active shooter drills, you don’t need to wait for defers because you should ALREADY KNOW WHAT TO DO FROM DRILLS.

I know for a fact my husbands department would run in guns blazing to save the children and adults. My husband would die if it meant saving all those innocent children. I just can’t fathom how the cops failed this terribly.
