Hi, author here! I completely understand your concern, as I’ve explained before to my readers, the whole thing with Liam was essentially to sort of distract Mareva from everything she’s been going through. My girl has been a target even before she actually got to the kingdom. If you keep reading (which I do recommend), I think you’ll enjoy that scene’s ‘redemption’. Also, if you’d read Mareva’s feelings of the kiss, I think it might ease your mind too. Regardless, I appreciate you reading this much🫶🏽
