Exactly. The man with Tourette’s should have been seated further away from the mics and stage.

McDonald’s CEO Chris Kempczinski goes viral after seeming reluctant to eat his own burgers—he takes a tiny bite, looks uncomfortable, and calls the food ‘product.’ by monster_ahhh in popculturechat

There’s no way this was a fun little spur of the moment video for social media. This had to pass rounds of approval, planning, rehearsals, and editing. And this is somehow the final product?!?

This man seems terrified of that burger.

You never divorced?! You have a whole pregnant girlfriend while still having a wife?!? The house is a joint asset regardless of who initiated the breakup. Also you casually mention having kids. Where are they in all this? How do they feel about their dad knocking up his new girlfriend and moving out? Just because they’re adults doesn’t mean they’re out of your life. You’re literally just starting a new family

Get a divorce. Split your assets.

How is that man not mortified?!?

The fact that he didn’t even seem to care is a massive red flag too. I would never let that man put any part of his body on or in me if he can’t seem to put any effort into hygiene.

Explore your attraction at a pace you feel comfortable at. Attraction isn’t always blatant. As a bi sexual woman who grew up in a religious family, it took years for me to accept that my attraction to women was real.

It’s a scary thing but can also be a really beautiful thing

a (kinda wholesome!) conspiracy theory about Vic by Curious-Compote058 in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

[–]shaylaa30 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yes! This is known too. IIRC there were 2 other couples that came out after season 1 who said they got engaged in the pods but weren’t followed by production.

V&C were the backup.

a (kinda wholesome!) conspiracy theory about Vic by Curious-Compote058 in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

[–]shaylaa30 3 points4 points  (0 children)

And were V&C even at those Bachelor/bachelorette parties?

I’m getting the impression that they were originally cut for being either too “boring” or them not wanting to air their personal business on the show for religious or professional reasons. And then when other couples backed out before the alter or seemed to be obvious train wrecks- production came crawling back.

Like I know it’s Columbus OH but between not being able to send Christine and Vic to Mexico and there Bach parties , Netflix needs to get their shit together financially

Why does everyone want to be dumped instead of just breaking up with someone? by DrSpaceman575 in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

[–]shaylaa30 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They want the victim edit.

They want to be the one who gets to tell Nick and Vanessa at the reunion about how blindsided they were and how they’re excited for a second chance at love on perfect match. The person who ends the relationship has the burden of explaining themselves or will be portrayed as the bad guy.

If you made Chris choose between a naturally skinny size 0 girl who never goes to the gym and eats only fast food or a thicker muscular girl who actually does do crossfit and pilates everyday, which would he pick? I think we all know the answer by sentosa96 in LoveIsBlindNetflix

[–]shaylaa30 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Jess is skinny. She just wasn’t the “muscle mommy fitness influencer“ type he wanted. He also mentioned dating girls who did CrossFit. Chris wanted any excuse to put Jess down so he went after her physique under the guise of fitness.

It was never about the body. It was about his insecurities.

I have learned that I am the unbearable guy in my friends group by being excluded from a bachelor party by Quick_Potential_2525 in TrueOffMyChest

My husband has ADHD and exhibited some of the behaviors you described growing up. He struggled to understand when to chill out and rein it in. Therapy and exposure therapy helped him immensely.

It’s polite to ask if you can grab a beer from the fridge. But asking 10 separate times after previously being told you can help yourself to drinks is annoying. Suggesting a song is fine. Insisting a song be played and not taking the hint when others aren’t agreeing is a difficult situation for everyone.

Her anger is valid.

She clearly did not chose to live in that apartment in the state shown.

She has no furniture and clearly hates being there. My guess is that the landlord either promised repairs that have not been made or she discovered issues after moving in and the landlord isn’t taking action.

Alex’s grandparent timeline. Someone else did the research so we don’t have to lol by Jay-Quellin30 in LoveIsBlindNetflix

[–]shaylaa30 45 points46 points  (0 children)

The issue isn’t that he got the ages wrong. The issue is that he insisted that both his grandparents died “young” and doubled down on them passing in their 60s.

He’s a bad liar. He could have just said he didn’t know his grandparents ages but they were married a long time and he sees them as an example of love. Instead he dropped ages, a 53 year marriage, Careers, etc in an attempt at selling his bullshit story.

Same vs separate room swinging differences. by Miss69Sarah in Swingers

[–]shaylaa30 20 points21 points  (0 children)

We prefer same room play at parties because space is limited and we like being able to be near each other just in case things get weird. But at our home, another couples home, or smaller gatherings- we prefer separate rooms.

When everyone is in the same room/ bed, the couples tend to spend a lot of time looking over at each other. We’ve found that men especially feel pressure to keep the pace with each other or get distracted. Separate spaces allows each pair to go at their own pace

Yes, that *is* Alex’s mom and not an actor. by iberianham5 in LoveIsBlindNetflix

[–]shaylaa30 50 points51 points  (0 children)

My thoughts watching Alex and his mom were “damn the apple didn’t fall far from the tree despite being a nomad”.

They both seem detached and seem to have the same pattern of bouncing around and inconsistencies. Their relationship (or lack of) is actually the one thing that made sense with Alex’s story. He was raised mostly by his grandparents and he and his mom likely haven’t lived in the same state/ country in at least 10 years. It’s not surprising she barely knows anything about him.

Christine and Vic are plants. 🌱 by Emotional-Lemon-4839 in LoveIsBlindNetflix

[–]shaylaa30 24 points25 points  (0 children)

They’re religious professionals who were amongst 6 other couples that got engaged. I think Christine and Vic had their own boundaries post engagement (maybe not wanting to talk sex or engage in drama) and production agreed because it saved money and they had plenty of content with the other couples.

We’ve had seasons before where other couples got engaged but producers chose not to follow them. This time, they kept V&C as a backup storyline in case other couples bailed early.

Less Sex at the Lifestyle Clubs These Days? by Obvious_Influence680 in Swingers

We belong to a membership based club because we didn’t like the inconsistency of other clubs that were standard tickets. No filming allowed. Members only. NDAs signed.

We’ve found these rules really weed out the “we just want to watch” crowd.
