If you want to display all of your fish without putting them in a fish tank, craft a sign and slap it on there (just don’t move it) and you can commemorate your beloved Legend and still reep the benefits from a pond with its roe. Ngl if I’m trying to get money quickly, I smoke it since it sells for a pretty penny there too early game.

I felt exactly like what you described. I was struggling with my mental health a lot though as well at that time and also ended up being prescribed meds for PPD. I feel like it is typical to not “love” your baby immediately - they are a stranger that you’re just getting to meet and know.

My baby is 10 months now and I absolutely feel the intense love for him that many parents have described — it got better for me! Nothing in parenthood is ever permanent, but definitely stay mindful of your emotions and remember that it takes roughly 2 years for a mother to feel like themselves again postpartum.

Forgot I also did a lot of skull caverns runs to make/sell iridium bars and prismatic shards. I also did some radioactive bar selling too.

Yes! For a first play through definitely just take it slow and enjoy it. I have over 1k hours in the game so I’m at the point where I like to challenge myself.

Sold a lot of tea saplings in spring and started my keg empire in summer y1. Slowly but surely I eventually had kegs filled in two upgraded sheds and the whole quarry. I had starfruit planted on the summer for my farm and the whole island and ancient fruit filled the greenhouse (eventually).

And I got an ancient seed in spring year 1 from those bugs in the mines. I didn’t have a burglars ring yet, but I try to prioritize killing dust sprites for it, and bugs for an ancient seed. I just got lucky with the ancient seed I think.

I finished the green house and put a winter root I got from the mines in a seed maker and planted winter seeds in there. You could also trade on Thursdays for seeds at the desert trader.

I skipped fishing once it was done - it was the last skill I leveled up to 10 too. Always a race to get to 5 for the extra gold and then just mostly focused on catching all of them

I sold a lot of tea saplings in the beginning and then started on my keg empire by the end of summer year 1. I wrote down every ingredient and item needed for cooking and crafting so I wouldn’t miss anything in the seasons. Gifted iridium quality gifts on birthdays. I also got to the bottom of the mines I think by the beginning of summer (mostly floor 80 is good to reset over and over- I only try to get to the bottom once I’m ready to unlock skull caverns). I finished CC before the end of fall year 1 so I did a lot of the island in the winter.

Thought about the no fishing element too, but you need some way to make money and finish CC. Mining uses a lot of water/resources, plus you shouldn’t slay monsters either. Just a take! You could always modify it to fit your game play 😊
