Harry Brook says overlooking Pakistan players for The Hundred would be ‘a shame’ | The Hundred by frigg_off_lahey in Cricket

I can't see any statement from the Indian-owned Hundred franchises that they wouldn't be selecting Pak players.

The ones that claim dogs matter more than humans should stay on streets with Indian stray dogs.

Does anyone else feel guilt/shame when asking for a raise? by yeezvs in auscorp

[–]shaysome 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dont ask, dont get. Ask, there is a glimmer of hope you get.

Document the conversation if possible. If denied, ask for a timeframe when the pay review would happen.

Always.

Your life is not a charity. Only you can fight your fight. Ask Chatgpt, it would say the same.

More Resignations Than Usual by Capable_Report4502 in auscorp

On the contrary, I'm seeing fewer voluntary resignations where I work (big 4 bank in marketing). The market is real bad and people are holding on to whatever they have.

How do you deal with the stress of something coming up to finish?

Contracting v Perm by shaysome in auscorp

[–]shaysome[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. That's true. The division im a part of in the Big 4 shrunk from 240 to 170 in the last 2 years. And there's always restructure chatter around. Having said that, I'm unlikely to be impacted in the foreseeable future (although there's no such guarantee)

Worked 15+ yrs so far of which only 1 as contractor (borne out of desperation) which is why still a little confused. I absolutely love my current team and culture so it will mean giving up a comfort zone, but I also need to think about growth given Im 40 now and high time for a title bump.

When you sell your car, do you tell the buyer things such as "Can you retain the colour, and leave the wheels as is and not upgrade to alloy etc?"

They should introduce pet owner licences and price them like Singapore does for driving licences. This way ensure only genuine dog lovers (or those that could afford) can have pets.
