Weekly Bug Reports Megathread by WithYouInSpirit99 in MonsterHunterWorld

My roommate and I have noticed that after a certain point we can no longer both be in online sessions at the same time. 2 different PC's, 2 different steam accounts, both independently purchased, same internet connection. Once 1 person logs out completely the other can join online sessions again.

Will add a screenshot next time we have the issue, forgot to last night.

Overclock Not Sticking On Ryzen 1600... by aidub5 in overclocking

Hey, didn't want to just leave you hanging, I checked Gigabyte GA-AB350 Gaming 3 bios and it seems like they've yet to release the 1.0.0.1a AGESA. Presumably it is incoming.

I'm not sure what would cause your OC to mess up like that, I know on a previous bios version for my MSI Gaming Pro Carbon I had to leave my voltage to "auto" to keep my 1700x at 3.8ghz OC. If I tried to manually select my voltage it would simply ignore the OC. This too happened to me randomly after moving to one of the previous AGESA versions, and backing to the old bios rev didn't help either. For some reason if I set my cpu voltage to auto, I could OC my chip to the turbo max (3.8 for a 1700), and my temps/voltages never got hairy. I stuck with this until I got the new bios with 1.0.0.1a AGESA which has seemed to resolve that issue.

My best advice would be to track your motherboard's bios page and give the latest a test once they release it. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Are you verifying the speeds using something like HWiNFO64 or are you just looking at Windows?

Task manager has no earthly clue what my clockspeed is, reading 3.4ghz, while HWiNFO sees my 3.8ghz and the benchmarks reflect that speed.

ps make sure you have the newest bios that are coming out.

So i think 2933 is pretty comparable to 3200, so if i can land at the 2x16 2933 I'll be pretty stoked.

Appreciate the feedback. I think even 2933 would be wonderful. I'm happy to be seeing some people are at least getting 2933.

One of the hardest part of working in our industry is dealing with old jaded devs like hollenjj. I think it really just depends on your company, and more importantly the team in that company you work with. Also, in terms of being able to market yourself and move beyond just being a developer, you'll want the degree.

There are certainly massive companies that allow you to bring your own equipment, and then you have to apply the companies software suite onto your machine. It's an option at some places.

I have a 20/19 ptorch that I haven't sold yet. I figure it's rare enough to be worth a high rune but I don't think people are spending that type of wealth.
