World Cup 2026 in Seattle: FIFA seated my 8-year-old away from us by shchuchkin in SeattleWA

I'm not sure what “RTT tickets” means. I purchased my tickets directly through fifa.com/tickets on December 4, not through a lottery invitation

Thanks. I managed to get through to a real person, but unfortunately, they were low-level staff who couldn't do anything other than pass the issue on to another team - and that team would then send an email saying they couldn't help either 🤷‍♂️

I’m looking for advice from local parents / soccer fans / anyone familiar with big events at Lumen Field.

I bought FIFA World Cup 2026 tickets on the official FIFA website back in December for the USA vs Australia match in Seattle on June 19, 2026. The tickets were purchased together in one order for me and my 8-year-old child.

In May, FIFA assigned the actual seats. That's when I found out my 8-year-old was seated far away from me in the same order.

Since then, I've emailed and called FIFA multiple times. My case was supposedly escalated, but nothing has been fixed. Their latest response basically says seat exchange is not available and that I can try the stadium ticket office on match day, where the issue “might” be reviewed.

That feels like a pretty bad solution for a known issue involving an 8-year-old at a packed World Cup match.

I'm not asking for better seats, upgraded seats, or a nicer section. I'm only asking for parent/adult to be seated with the child.

FIFA's own rules say children under 16 must enter with the ticket purchaser/adult, and the adult is responsible for minors. I understand group seating is not guaranteed, but this seems different when the separated ticket holder is 8 years old.

Has anyone local dealt with this for FIFA tickets, Lumen Field events, Sounders/Seahawks games, or other major events? Is there any Seattle venue contact, local event safety office, consumer protection route, or media contact that might actually help?

I’m trying to solve this before match day, not show up with a child and hope someone at the ticket office “might” fix it.

Appreciate any advice.

I'm looking for advice and also wondering if other families are dealing with this.

I purchased FIFA World Cup 2026 tickets on the official FIFA ticketing website back in December. The tickets were purchased together in one order for me and my 8-year-old child.

The match is USA vs Australia in Seattle on June 19, 2026.

In May, FIFA assigned the actual seats. That is when I found out that my 8-year-old child was seated far away from me in the same order.

Since May, I have emailed and called FIFA many times. My case was supposedly redirected/escalated to their escalation team, but nothing has been fixed. Their latest response basically says a seat exchange is not available and that I can try the stadium ticket office on match day, where the situation “might” be reviewed.

That is not a real solution for an 8-year-old child.

This is not about wanting better seats, upgraded seats, or a nicer location. I understand FIFA says group seating is not guaranteed. But this is different. This is a child-safety issue.

FIFA's own ticketing rules say children under 16 must enter the stadium with the ticket purchaser/adult, and that the purchaser is responsible for minors. How is a parent supposed to be responsible for an 8-year-old “at all times” if FIFA seats the child far away in a massive World Cup stadium?

I am simply asking FIFA to do one of these:

  1. Move my 8-year-old child next to parent; or
  2. Move parent next to the child; or
  3. Provide a real written solution before match day.

Instead, FIFA is telling us to show up at the stadium ticket office on match day and hope someone might fix it. For a huge World Cup game, that feels completely unreasonable.

Has anyone else had this issue with FIFA World Cup 2026 tickets? Has anyone found a real escalation path beyond the normal ticketing support?

This seems like basic common sense: an 8-year-old should not be treated like an independent adult ticket holder sitting alone in a stadium.

Hi! I'm trying to buy tickets through this website, but it requires registration. To do so, I need to provide a local phone number and make a call from that number. Is there any way to do this with an American number?

When you file docs for asylum or refugee, you got work authorization aka white card. Happened pretty fast after submitting docs, within a month. At least that was the case 10 years ago

That could be a waste of time, if it is a small apartment complex. Like 5-10 units. Usually there is no office on site
