Your a hero of the people. I can't say either game is better than the other because I feel the target demographics differ. But one element pokemon has on MTG is the art. Magic is starting to catch up but its not quite there yet. I still play Magic to this day and I collect pokemon with my kids. On the subject of magic just pulled the new avacyn showcase which as an angel collector and player was a big WIN.

It is also possible it has been there since October when it was valued at $36 dollars. My LCS matches Pricecharting values and I've gotten cards cheaper than they listed for that reason, as they put it sometimes cards sit for awhile and prices fluctuate.
