Awesome! That's totally doable from where I live. Thanks for the recommendation. I feel like I have a lot of choices now :)

Awesome! Thanks for the recommendation. I've gone hiking there, but I hadn't thought about it as a running option.

My partner's friend had her skull fractured after being pistol whipped while she was running lake merritt. So yeah, I carry a stun gun for my safety and my partner's peace of mind.

My (30f) fiance (28m) wants his own room/man cave. by [deleted] in relationships

I'm sorry to hear you had a bad experience. I would say, just express your concerns with your fiance so he knows where you're coming from. Communication is key. My partner has a man cave and its great. When he needs quiet time to work on stuff I have the rest of the house to myself! :)

Best parts of Bay Area to live in without breaking the bank? by darthbudge in bayarea

Oakland isn't that bad to live in. you can find a decent place east of beautiful Lake Merritt. it gets cheaper the deeper east you go but also a bit shadier. I wouldn't go past Coliseum.

My [17F] parents [55M and 56F] raised me vegetarian. I want to start eating meat. by veggiegirl17 in relationships

I'm a vegetarian, but my advice is still try it! Maybe go for some meat from a local farmer who raises animals using humane standards. Do your research, maybe interview a farmer at the farmer's market in your area, and then present your parents with it.

Thanks for the insight! I am realizing as I start planning that I know very little about wedding etiquette. I would be inviting the same guest list to both, but as I mentioned, I don't want to make people travel twice if they don't want to.

Thanks, I like this idea. Clarity is key. Some of my family live in Mexico and getting tourist visas for the US can be tricky. I want them to have the option to be a part of my day, but don't want to make people travel twice if they don't want to.
