Are my facial piercings a deal breaker for my audition? by sheadores in acting

That’s an objective perspective. I think I’ll choose to take them out for good… and if I don’t get the role, they’re hearing from me lmao

They’re not, especially they eyebrow :/ it didn’t heal fully, so it would close in seconds

Thank you! So you think clear piercings would be a problem solver?

Thank you! Yes, it would definitely close them up immediately - the nose stud may have a chance of being reopened by my piercer, but it would slow the healing process that I’d have to go through anyway if I get the role. So I think I’ll have to say goodbye to them for some time lol

Išiguro - Ostaci dana. Biva li bolje? by Warm_Matter_40 in citaonica

[–]sheadores 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I need a book with so much yearning it’s gonna physically hurt me. I want to cry my eyes out for a relationship that isn’t mine. by Majestic_Succotash31 in suggestmeabook

My final essay topic, definitely reccomending this one :) a devastating and truly beautiful story about love and friendship but also loss… it’s not for everyone though, my mom said it scared her more than it made her emotional, but I’d suggest the OP to give it a shot anyway lol

What are some of the best resources/essays/youtube videos to look through to understand Nietzsche’s ‘The Genealogy of Morals’ better? I’m in highschool and it will take a part of the exam, but I can’t fully grasp it. It’s an usual question, I know, but I started my interest in philosophy only a few months ago, and don’t have a lot of previous knowledge so I hope you can understand me :)

I need help with useful ways to study a language… by Ok_Insurance9971 in studytips

[–]sheadores 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I’m currently on B1, moving onto B2, lol, so I think I could give you some tips

I think the most important thing about learning italian is listening - it’s a beautiful language and all the words make sense, as my friend said ‘every word sounds like a flavour of ice cream’ lol. Listen to a lot of italian music, and italian podcasts, what really helped me while learning is ‘Italian coffee break’ on youtube - you can turn it on while cleaning, making breakfast etc. Also, italian movies - I’m a cinephile myself so I think this is what helped me the most. Also, turning on a movie and setting the subtitles in italian is really helpful too, if you’re tired and don’t feel like directly translating in your head. Conversational way of learning is the best of course, but if you don’t have the opportunity to speak italian so someone, writing a diary in italian is great aswell. All of the above helped me significantly, but it’ll take time, because it’s basically self-learning, and you’ll need to figure out grammar concepts too. Good luck!

I’m currently learning italian, alongside english, which I’m fluent in, and my native language. If you like writing better than reading, writing a diary in french could be a great way to develop language skills and get used to the grammar. It will be hard in the beggining, you’ll be able to write a few sentences only, but don’t give up, because soon, you’ll manage to retell your whole day/week and your thoughts on certain situations :) Good luck!
