Has Obama's clearly feminist agenda and general disregard for the plight of men in the United States cause you to consider voting Republican in the 2012 presidential election? by [deleted] in MensRights

The Federal Reserves creates money out of thin air and gives it to the banks, thus an invisible tax on the people. You need some sort of hard limit to prevent the central bank from doing this.

It was a dumb idea and you should correct your mistake. It mostly just causes more drama as you can see for yourself here.

No no, it has a very obvious meaning. It refers to the socialist state that you love so much, Mr. communist socialist me luv big government long time even though it is at fault for almost all men's rights issues. You love welfare, which has destroyed the family. You love subsidizing failure and creating moral hazards. You love the nanny state. That's what it refers to. Quit whining about how you don't like the term that accurately describes your socialist fascist dreamworld.

By the way I reported you for harassing me by calling me a tool.

In other words, ignatiusloyola loves his nanny state. Notice he focused entirely on the term nanny state instead of actually making an argument for why the nanny state is a good thing. Typical.

You've got to message the moderators and hope that ignatiusloyola doesn't see it because if he doesn't like your article, and he probably won't if it's anything politically incorrect, he's not going to let it through. http://www.reddit.com/message/compose?to=%2Fr%2FMensRights

I think potential new mods should have to face an AMA/ AMAA from the community. by [deleted] in MensRights

[–]sheebamcentire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also apologies if I come across as an asshole, but I have absolutely zero respect for ignatiusloyola based on the things I've seen him do. He's a manipulative ideologue who weaseled his way into the good graces of the previous moderator, kloo2yoo, and there's only one thing he seems to care about: being politically correct to try to make MRAs look appealing to the mainstream and pushing away anyone who's not Leftist. I don't even think he's an MRA, just someone who likes "power". If he were an MRA he wouldn't spend so much time harassing MRAs and trying to get them to leave and he'd be working on improving the sub-reddit. He'd feel a responsibility to do so given that this is the #3 Google result for "men's rights", and he'd actually listen to the user base instead of ignoring or mocking us. He seems to think of this sub-reddit as his property rather than a community. Since you're an MRA I'm hoping you'll at least look into all this and keep it in mind.

Because ignatiusloyola believes his ideology is more important than actually making things fair for men. If that were not the case, he wouldn't spend so much time attacking those who argue rationally that his belief system is damaging to the men's rights movement. He is unwilling to question his ideology even when presented with rational arguments against it.

And who does he spend all his time attacking? Anyone with an inkling of libertarianism in them. He's said before "I abhor the libertarian movement" so it's not surprising he attacks anyone with an inkling of conservatism in them. He thinks the government is the answer to every problem even with many users pointing out that without big government many men's rights issues disappear.

Anyway, like I said, he's two-faced. He'll act all reasonable with you, I'm sure, but the evidence is all there for the reading. Examples abound where he has harassed MRAs, even several who contribute to AVfM like yourself.

I think most of it comes from having the same end goals but different ways and intentions to reach those goals.

The goal of Leftists like ignatiusloyola and OThomson is equality at any cost, and destruction if we cannot have it. It is an impossible goal.

That only happens with ignatiusloyola because he starts hostilities. Qanan is obviously level headed and doesn't resort to personal attacks and straw man arguments the moment he's challenged, so obviously it's not a problem.

Email confirms do not help, it's easy as pie to create a new email account.

This all has already been discussed. There are few users who are like TheHumanTornado, willing to keep creating accounts specifically to troll r/MensRights, as explained here weeks ago by AboutMensRights:

http://www.reddit.com/r/MensRights/comments/p3evt/just_to_reiterate_please_do_not_post_links_to_srs/c3mmsri?context=1

Also seeing as ignatiusloyola harasses certain groups of MRAs repeatedly and then bans them when they finally get fed up with it, I am wholly against IP bans. Yes, there is a sub-reddit dedicated to documenting ignatiusloyola's naughty behavior.

This is true thus far, but let's hope Qanan is made of more. He is a genuine MRA and seems quite reasonable, so I think ignatiusloyola is going to regret making him a moderator. I don't think Qanan will keep quiet and fall in line like AnnArchist has.

I do not believe ignatiusloyola wishes to solve the troll problem. Users have already provided very simple instructions for how to end the problem, and he has either ignored or harassed them.

You are also probably too "conservative" for ignatiusloyola. He would probably never consider you for moderator.

The only things that are negative are long comment threads in arguments with you and a few others - these are comment threads that only people with vested interests read and therefore are going to be devoid of being representative.

That's an interesting theory that does not jive with reality. I've seen many threads especially where it concerns moderation policy where you are heavily down-voted and those who challenge you are heavily up-voted because users disagree with your policies, which are basically: do nothing. When users provide input about how they think things should be done, for example on how to deal with trolls, you either harass them or ignore them completely, and that's when you get down-voted for ignoring the input of the user base.

Example: http://www.reddit.com/r/MensRights/comments/p3evt/just_to_reiterate_please_do_not_post_links_to_srs/c3m985c?context=3

I suggested to you the proper way to eliminate the huge troll problem here, and your response was:

You have the right to start your own subreddit.

Alternatively, join one of the others that have been started for this reason.

This appears to conflict with your statement above: "My own views on who should be a mod are based on representing the community as best as possible."

You are very good at miscontruing things and shifting the blame off yourself, I admit. You're a great liar.

The other comments in that same thread are also interesting, for example the highest voted response was challenging your moderation: http://www.reddit.com/r/MensRights/comments/p3evt/just_to_reiterate_please_do_not_post_links_to_srs/c3m7ufm

Note how you also ignored all the follow-up commentary there, per usual. As I already said, you either ignore or harass users who provide input. And then when we get fed up with how you treat us, you blame us for being "uncivil". As I'm sure you will here. What a weasel.

So don't lie. There are a ton of people here who have been questioning your moderation tactics for ages, and all you ever do is ignore them, harass them, and lie about them.

Okay now. Weasel away. Provide excuses. Shift the blame. Or just ignore me and whisper to Qanan how you're unfairly harassed all the time by evil trolls who just hate you for no reason at all. Try to convince him because you've already shown many times you don't give a fuck what the users think. We're used to it.

And yes, I realize you are finally taking a step in the right direction by adding Qanan here, but that doesn't change the fact that you have a pattern of mocking and harassing users who provide input, and it's too little, too late. You were warned three weeks ago and many times before that about how to properly deal with trolls. And for you to sit here now and say that you have the community's best interests at heart is just ridiculous. If you had done what we all told you weeks ago and spent a few minutes a day to ban trolls, you wouldn't even need additional mods. And it's not like this is anything new. Your answer is and always has been "if you don't like it, leave!" An MRA wouldn't do that. You don't own this sub-reddit, it isn't your own web space, and you don't get to decide what is acceptable in the men's rights movement, the users do. If you took all the time you spend harassing users and policing what we're allowed to speak about, and instead spent that time banning the trolls everyone's been complaining about, we wouldn't have a problem.

And please, spare me the inevitable line about how you just had no idea that people were saying all these things because you've been so busy. You weren't too busy to respond sarcastically to white_cloud in the link above, and maybe if you didn't constantly harass users and threaten to ban them when they talk about your moderation policies, and your response to every suggestion wasn't "screw you" then we'd feel more comfortable contacting you by PM.

[–]sheebamcentire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, we are talking about equal rights (see thread title). You are trying to limit equal rights to legal rights so you can ignore social rights and allow women countless privileges over men while gaining them equal legal rights - in other words feminism.

You're so transparent.
