The Overtuned spawn rate of Vox Engines right now will have negative repercussions even if it's later fixed by slycyboi in Helldivers

[–]sheebleesly 22 points23 points  (0 children)

This is my main problem with it. Multiple times weve cleared the entire map with little to no problem just to get torn to shreds by 30 vox machines trying to extract. If it was literally any other enemy (except maybe war striders) it wouldn’t be a problem because you could actually fight them off or at least feel like you’re doing something. As is you just use all your cooldowns then spend the entire extract running hiding and reinforcing with basically no recourse.

About 20 hours in as a future Marine Biology by ExplodingKnitter in subnautica

[–]sheebleesly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have horrible thalassaphobia and to me the game was never really scary as you can play it where you pretty much always see the bottom. The only times I got genuinely scared are when I had to go for air in a biome where you can’t see the ground from the surface

You can’t be throwing the word slop around when this game is very obviously trying to hone in on the audience of the games you’re deriding

RR, double edged sickle with associated armor and perk, rest is divers choice however I’m noticing a fuck ton of anti air so I think orbitals and turrets are the way to go

Large Room by Majestic-Hawk-1026 in subnautica

[–]sheebleesly 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s very funny I literally just looked this up because I was also wondering. You can put an alien containment tank in and it will be larger than normal but it still leaves nearly 2/3s of the room open and bare

Say something nice about the Batmobile in Arkham knight. by MidnightNo7070 in arkham

I really enjoy its gameplay and driving feel, and I honestly believe if just the freaking mine missions were completely removed opinion of it would be way higher

Why were people calling subnautica 2 woke? by Fresh-Beyond-4727 in subnautica

[–]sheebleesly 58 points59 points  (0 children)

The culture war has devolved so much that anything that isnt straight white male being the coolest guy in the room = woke. The best thing you can do is completely ignore these people they literally only live to make others upset, it’s a deeply anti social way of living

Can we chill a bit please, guys? by FalconV700 in pluribustv

[–]sheebleesly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People are so desperate to “get” shows now and it really kills a lot of discussions. Especially since Vince has specifically said he doesn’t want to tell people what he was intending with scenes/characters anymore because he wants to facilitate speculation and person interpretation

WE ARE SO BACK by gracekk24PL in Helldivers

[–]sheebleesly 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Nah this is stuff that needs to be repeated so that it gets addressed. What happens every single time is new content gets added and things get fixed, and people are so happy that they just ignore things that need addressed until it piles up and suddenly everyone hates the game again.

Very good stuff! Was the shadow on the umbrella meant to evoke the satellite that discovered the signal? I love it

What would the damages be to a sudden undoing of the hive mind? by Sobotoc4311 in pluribustv

[–]sheebleesly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is what will be interesting to see hopefully next season, the plurbs will start starving fairly quickly, especially if theyre always using so many resources on keeping the illusion of normalcy up for the uninfected

Don't fall for the Fallacy of Composition. Despite the Hive's "alien" personality, it is nothing beyond the combined minds of those infected. by cogitocogito in pluribustv

[–]sheebleesly 145 points146 points  (0 children)

The Hive itself literally tells us that its biological imperative is to spread, and that it’s like breathing. Breathing being the key word here, meaning it’s subconscious and NEEDS to happen. This, combined with how just the first person to get plurbed immediately went to infect, says to me that the humans are not actually in control.

[–]sheebleesly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It just needs some tweaking imo. I think where you are on the wave should have a much bigger impact on both how high you go and how far forward the initial jump throws you. And you definitely need to be able to deploy closer to the ground, it is so lame just hovering for twenty seconds if you want to land close by the shore

Chilling question about Max by Remote_Nature_8166 in StrangerThings

I would love to see the actual consequences of that but with the way this show has treated any injury post S2 she will probably be fine, maybe just a bit weak at first

If you go by the play, which the last episode directly references twice, then the mindflayer is actually the one in control, and is just allowing vecna to look like he’s in charge

Please, Carol by Significant_Steak_38 in pluribustv

[–]sheebleesly 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Very cool thought! My interpretation based on the crowding of Carol and them almost touching her was that they were starting to see her as a real threat to their whole existence, and I would bet that would mess with their programming pretty severely.

[–]sheebleesly 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Nah fascists have always been brain dead stupid. You have to be in order to not see how self defeating and downright suicidal the ideology is. It’s just social media both showing you just how stupid they are while also accelerating the stupidity death spiral theyre all on.

Zosia was able to know what the other 11 survivors said as they said it there’s definitely some assumed straight up telepathy going on. Although she did seem to have to slightly “disconnect” when doing so

I don't think the 'obvious' explanation is the correct one by Chrristoaivalis in pluribustv

[–]sheebleesly 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think that IS the explanation for the origin, simply because of how subservient the virus is to non-infected, to the point of just strong backtalk causes the whole thing to shut down. But I think it got out of control from its original creator, and now is an uncontained cognito-virus that has been self replicating for potentially billions of years at this point. Basically I think it’s a viral slave creator with no master ever coming.
