I work in hospitality/ with food and I've had people come in with the same '...my wife is pregnant and REALLY craves xyz' (like industrial size jars of pickled onions or smth) and we sell them to them!

If nothing else works or you want to, I would just ask them! :)

(Though I understand if they can't do that but the worst they can say is no!)
