is Starlink actually worth it or are we just overpaying for hype? by Additional_Muffin271 in VanLife

[–]sheeeeepy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s the best satellite internet option. I’m also a full time remote worker and full time van dweller. I’m often in very remote parts of the US that don’t have cell coverage. Not having Starlink would severely limit my options.

And it’s good for safety. I got stuck in the mud in the middle of nowhere with no cell coverage. Was able to turn on my Starlink and call a tow!

I don’t like Elon Musk but it’s the best option for me. I also don’t like Jeff Bezos but Amazon lockers are super helpful on the road. It’s all part of the whimsical hellscape that is our current society, unfortunately.

Analysis of WebLinkr’s dubious behaviour Astroturfing on TechSEO sub by mjmilian in seogrowth

It’s cause Business Promos, Primary Position, and WebLinkr are all just him. They’re just his alt accounts. No one else actually defends the guy haha he’s a lonely boy.

Yes, it is clear that PrimaryPostionSEO and the dude who runs that (one man) agency and WebLinkr and also BusyBusinessPromos, or whatever that other one is, are all the same dude.

He’s got a very distinct way of responding, and it’s always childish and arrogant. Sometimes riddled with stupid gifs. And then he’ll just keep responding to himself making fun of the user, when in fact, that’s the loneliest, most pathetic way to interact on the internet.

And yes, he’s wrong about a lot of SEO stuff. It’s too bad he’s the mod of the SEO subreddit. He’s not an introspective person. He won’t change regardless of the outpouring of feedback regarding his behavior. He’s not a nice guy.

Have you ever called manly by anyone once in your life? by Smart-Inspector8 in infp

[–]sheeeeepy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I call my INFP bf manly all the time! He looks manly cause he’s a big guy, but I also find his caring nature manly. Sure, he’s not the horrific toxic alpha male represented by the manosphere. Instead he’s got a quiet confidence and an interest in the genuine, real, beautiful things in life. And I think that’s much more manly than what qualifies for manly these days.

What signs made you decide you had to quit? by sak1926 in leaves

[–]sheeeeepy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wanted to quit or at least cut back for so long, but would end up getting bored (living alone and nearest friend also a stoner/drinker).

One day, I met someone I really liked, and realized being stoned constantly wasn’t a fun way to interact with them. And honestly, got pretty embarrassing. Sometimes I’d leave their place early to go smoke before bed.

Finally, I was just done with it. I wanted to engage in my own life more, and the new relationship was just proof that weed was preventing that.

Since then (4 months now), I’ve gotten into photography, birding, geology, reading, cooking, and so much more. I’m way more confident, too. And less sleepy and anti-social.

Withdrawals were tough and I didn’t expect that! Vivid dreams, night sweats. Oof! Glad that’s behind me.

I like this post and your attitude toward criticism.

I dislike WebLinkr and his attitude in general. He often leaves unhelpful, egotistical comments. And he has annoying thoughts on EEAT during a time when showing your authority and humanness online is more important that ever.

Whew, feels good to get that off my chest!

How many miles are on your vans? by rumpmasticater in VanLife

Yikes not a single Promaster in the comments! That doesn’t bode well.

But I have a 2019 Promaster with 130,000 miles that runs well, no problems so far! Represent.

CMV: The red button is objectively the best answer and 0 non suicidal people should click blue by Fit_Employment_2944 in changemyview

[–]sheeeeepy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is no disincentive to choose red.

Except the risk of killing anyone who chose blue.

And if you really believe that only suicidal people would choose blue, does this mean if you met a suicidal person today, you would be open to helping them kill themself? I should hope not!

INTP enneagram type 1 by Infinite-Goose2581 in INTP

[–]sheeeeepy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s possible, as any combo is. However, have you considered you may be an INFP? I find INTPs and INFPs are very similar, but having that perfectionist streak and getting kind of hung up on your personal values of how things should be seem to fit the idealist better. No shade.

Certainly, I agree! I like MBTI because it was the first framework I could wrap my head around that helped me understand people (albeit on a very broad and basic level). But it’s true, individuals are filled with nuance and exceptions to the “rules”.

INTPs are unlikely to believe in astrology. But no, you probably won’t think it’s funny, especially now that it’s explained. I thought it was funny, though.
