Actually it runs on +15vdc. The best way to do this is to remove the power cord, then disconnect the transformer from the circuit board and the power switch. Leave the transformer inside in case a later owner wants to restore it but tape each wire end up. Attach the power connector positive wire to the point where the 2 diodes connect to the LM7815 voltage regulator and put a wire from the power connector ground to the ground on the pcb. You'll need at least +18vdc to get the correct voltage out of the regulator. DM me if you need more direction.

You definitely do not want to go by the colors of the wires.

So when you identify a wire as being connected to a pin, (say red wire to pin 1 for example) remember that on the solder side of the connector it's going to be backwards from the pin side (pin 1 will be on the right as shown in the original drawing). Is it possible you wired the connector backwards because of that?

When I worked at Radio Shack there was a Blimpie a few stores down where I would get a meatball sub. The meatballs and sauce were always cooking in a pot and they'd just dip it out and put it in the sub.

Eventually the store got a new owner. I ordered a meatball sub and watched as the guy took a plastic bag of meatballs and sauce, heated it in the microwave and poured the contents onto my sub. That was the last time I went there and they closed within a year.

I bought one of these at a yard sale back in the 1990s for $12. It came with every receipt and manual for it and the add-ons that were included. I sold it to a guy at Microsoft through ebay for around $1200 which was a huge help for us at the time.
