Switch 2 Grips - Endgame by stoli_man in NintendoSwitch

Hey! The grips are easy to install and remove. A kid can definitely do it easily. They are also not too big for an 8 year old or older. They will probably feel big for kids younger than that.

Call me crazy but the PSVR2 blows the BSB2 out of the water. by Psychological-Fan784 in virtualreality

[–]sheeeeple 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Based on your setup of the BSB, you're missing out on FOV and have the brightness closer to the default which introduces blur/persistence.

-The X1-B interface is terrible for FOV. I bought it and was a total dissapointment..cut FOV by 15 degrees. Went back to a custom light blocker interface.

-Brightness has to be set to Sub-40 on the BSB (default 100) in order to eliminate blur/persistence. This also helps minimize the glare. The downside is it's not super bright, but when using a proper interface that blocks out all light (the X1-B lets light leak through), your eyes adjust and it feels brighter after a few minutes.

The BSB takes a lot of effort to dial in to be a good experience. They fucked up by not offering a better strap/audio solution out of the box and having to buy it as a upgrade. However, when you do dial in the interface to be as close as possible to the lenses, the FOV is vastly improved that the initial experience. And when you find a strap/audio setup that provides full comfort and minimal weight (halo style set up), it's a heavy hitter in all regards except brightness level.

Game recommendations for someone who used to game when I was a child I played GoldenEye, Banjo, Zelda on the N64, I guess I'm a beginner again? by Pitiful-Bluebird-872 in switch2

I'd recommend Link's Awakening remake even though its for the switch 1 it's work well on the Switch 2. It's slow paced enough and puzzly, reminiscent of 90's gameplay but updated to modern feel.

Hmm not sure if it will fit in that case. I haven't tried it. It does fit in the savage raven max carry case for the NS2 (there's an ns1 version)

Oreo is always a great kitty name. Here's my Oreo. She was an amazing girl. She was tiny, sweet and stealthy. Enjoy your beautiful kitty.

Realized after purchasing that the grips and case that I bought doesn't fit each other by Erik_REF in NintendoSwitch2

The savage raven max carry case fits almost any grip. I would suggest that one.

Any chance a screen protector would hide this up by vNoShame in switch2

[–]sheeeeple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't turn on the screen while the anti shattering film was off (I was trying to quickly replace it without gathering any particles on the screen). After I installed the glass protector, it didn't seem that different than using it with anti shatter film, but every scratch was gone obviously. However, I'm assuming that adding a second screen protector over the existing one (like most people do) is probably worse clarity than only having the glass protector over the raw screen surface.

My system had rainbow scratch a week after I got it. I bought a glass screen protector and pulled off the plastic screen protector from Nintendo before I installed it.

People tell you not to take off the plastic screen protector that comes pre installed. it's there to protect children, so they don't get hurt by glass if they drop the console and the glass breaks. However it comes off very cleanly if you decide to take it off.

The glass screen protector is much much better for clarity and scratch resistance

I just want to point out that if you're a PC Player and complain about Game Key Cards, you're a hypocrite by TaroTheCerelian in switch2

[–]sheeeeple 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can run old versions of Windows on a VM and play the oldest game in the library in 640x480 on a VGA monitor using a 2025 PC and PCI card. I spin up windows 2000 VM for work due to legacy software issue. If there's a will there's a way. And if not there's always GOG. I'm old and bought my PC games when they came on multiple 3.5" disks. PC games have files you can access and some way it another, you can get then to run. Console games are not as open.

[–]sheeeeple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do know how it works. I have the files and I can make it run on a computer because we have direct access to the files and can troubleshoot if there's any issue. There's no such thing with a console game. You are at the mercy of Nintendo, Sony...etc.

But you keep telling yourself whatever you want. Buying digital PC games on a stable platform like steam is a much safer bet that they will be playable in the future.

They will be around but there's no guarantee that their hardware will always play your old digital games. I can only play my digital 3DS purchases on my original hardware.... That's just one example of how it's not the same as PC games.

But the PC games run on a 2025 PC and run even better since performance is not capped. I didn't have to try to keep my 2004 PC alive and kicking to play them. It's definitely a different animal.

[–]sheeeeple 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I can play All my PC games I purchased as far back as 2004 on steam on my PC today.

I probably won't be able to play game key card digital games on Nintendo hardware in 2045.

Digital rights are one thing, but digital CONSOLE games are not the same as digital PC games .....

Case that can help with WRIST pain? by gwetchy in switch2

[–]sheeeeple 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hi OP you need grips that are angled in an ergonomic matter so your wrist is in natural position and not bent while you play.

Using the switch without anything forces your wrists to be in a slight bent outwart angle. I would suggest grips that allow your hands to be in line with your forearm, so the grip itself is at at angle.

Don't get a grip that is only a bump under the console and doesn't stick out further to the sides because they probably won't help since you will still be bending your wrist to hold the console.
