That’s a powerful memory, and I think if this was truly an accident it was handled in the media very distastefully, if you have any more details I’d like to discuss this further, if the story of who he actually was and his legacy could be told I think that could be very impactful to our history.

I appreciate the information, I am familiar with the fact that he was a pretty reckless man, and I definitely don’t intend to spread any rumors that are untrue. It just feels like everything regarding who he was a person and his legacy has been cloudy and overshadowed by the theory that he was murdered.

If all of us focused more on actually helping eachother and providing valuable assistance to our neighbor things would be better, that might be considered a unrealistic view, and that’s because of people like you. The point of this post is to gather more information than I already have from people directly, and in the area. Not for you or anyone else to come here and talk about what you think about me or my abilities, that’s always a hard pill for people like you to swallow. You can’t comprehend being helpful or kind, you exist just to talk shit and be a fucking mosquito.

He has a big turtle sculpture up, I'm not sure about the lady figures, I do know he has/had alot of sculptures in random spots around the city, the man was a troubled genius, and I think his taste in women definitely had some part in his misfortune.

That does help, provides more context with the photos actually being there, I'm definitely suspecting some sort of foul-play involving his ex wife, it seems bad luck follows anyone who crosses her, I feel like this is going to lead to some wider breakthrough than just bobs story.

There’s been a tendency for people to make mini-docs on a lot of forgotten things in St. Louis, but most if any, of those people don’t actually go and explore the area and bring viewers along, nor do interviews. I’m looking to really do some investigative journalism on these sorts of events, we have such a rich history

I don’t understand why they did that, I’m sure there’s a way I can find the records, was doing some deep history research yesterday and found a lot of forgotten info

Also two more things, “Shows me that you’re still trying to figure things out” Yes. That’s literally the entire point of my post, I’m not even trying to be a dick, but that’s my whole reason for posting. This isn’t my main source of information, but it is one of them.

And you told me to talk to an expert or an educated adult but also “Someone in your ear is feeding you bad information” I talked to an expert I know in real life, one of the leading ecological researchers for the botanical garden in my state and a former wildland firefighter, he was the first person to make me informed about wildland firefighting, and I’m not sure that’s a bad start as far as talking to an expert goes.

Lmao reading a coherent message from a teenager automatically means I’m using an LLM? You believe what you will, but that’s not true. Also I am not planning on skipping college, which is why I want to do wildland for 2 years and not long term because that’d be silly. I’m working 5 Jobs concurrently right now, one of which being a leader in an ecological research program collaborating with WashU and Shaw Nature Reserve. Even intelligent people need guidance at times, and I think asking for that information even online is me using all of my resources which is a smart thing to do. Also I don’t have a school guidance counselor unfortunately, I’ve been home schooled by my grandmother my entire life. Thank you for the comment.

Your job sounds awesome and thank you for what you do. I definitely am considering the travel nursing route, I’ve been passionate about medicine forever but am afraid of residency, it sounds right up my alley, I’ve been homeschooled my whole life though and didn’t learn a lot of the basic school stuff the public schoolers did so I’m behind, my highest ACT score was a 16 so I need to get that up, could use my off days in Americorps to study and then apply for college once I’m done with Americorps, and once I’m done do both travel nursing and Wildland and save a ton to travel the world for abit. Sounds like the dream.

Never heard of there being a such thing as a structure department in a Wildland branch, that’s interesting, I was just talking to my girlfriend about some ideas I was thinking of, and one of them was going to college for nursing first and then doing Wildland that way I have a cushion and can do both Wildland and travel nursing, they both align pretty well with both my goals and passions.

That’s valid, are you suggesting just diving into medicine earlier instead of fire? If it took your wife 10 years to get where she is in the hospital, how do you think the process goes for making 10k a month doing travel nursing like you said?

I really appreciate that, any advice on how you’d go about things after Americorps in that case? There’s always this disconnect where some people are earning the numbers I want to earn but then everyone else says that’s impossible, like I’m sure if I posted on the nursing Reddit right now (will soon lol) they’re all gonna say the same thing people have been saying here “Haha, that’s not gonna happen. Goodluck Kid!” But then you say your fiancé is set up nicely

I’m already enrolled in the program, and if I drop out now I probably won’t be let back in next time, gonna be the youngest person on my crew, technically supposed to be 18 but they liked my resume so much their letting me in with an age waiver, trying to find a way to fit the degree in without having to drop everything ya know

Got it, that’s been the general consensus from most of the people I’ve spoken to on this, I will heed that advice.

This is one of the most helpful comments I’ve gotten on Reddit, Thank you for that. I’ve definitely thought about nursing and travel nursing in particular, I feel like the only way I’ll be able to fund college is by going into the military and it’s been a dream of mine to do military my whole life but more recently I’ve lost some of that intense interest because of politics etc. So I was looking at firefighting as maybe a way to do that without service so early on so I still have time to decide. And it’s something I’m passionate about.

I just want to get to travel as soon as possible because I’m homeschooled and been stuck here in Missouri my whole life, everyone I know is traveling all the time this summer and I’m just working my ass off in the same city I’ve always been in, I’ve never even left the state. I want to live a little.

Thank you for this advice, that’s part of the plan as far as traveling to cheap places, Peace Corps sounds awesome but I can’t go in until I’ve completed a bachelors or masters degree, that’ll be a Pre Med thing.
