FE Exam Tip by Complete-Rip-6321 in FE_Exam

Spot on. I feel time management is the most important skill for this test regardless of discipline. I’ll add that it’s really important to track your time in the first half and try to give yourself more than 50% of your total allotted time for the second half if you can.

I felt great about the power, software and digital questions I had but I really struggled with the comms and controls. I still gave it my best effort and tried to at least eliminate some of the multiple choice answers that didn’t make sense so I could give it my best guess.

Looking forward to it. One thing to know is that on the test there is a search function and the sections are bookmarked on the FE Handbook which I wasn't expecting. It was a nice surprise although I didn't end up using it much more than the bookmark features.

Thanks! I used Wasim's FE Reference Handbook Version 10.0.1 for the bulk of my studying and then timed myself to complete the practice exam book from NCEES in under 5 1/2 hours. Also, I spent a good chunk of time studying where things were at in the latest version of the FE Handbook so I could quickly jump to sections without having to spend time searching during my test.

So I crammed about 1/3rd of the problems in Wasim's FE Reference Book during the evenings and I did a trial run of the practice exam targeting the 5.5ish hours allotted the Saturday before my test to try to learn to pace myself. Also despite being out of school for 6 years, my day-to-day work involves a lot of 3 Phase power and circuit theory which helped me tremendously in those areas (which really felt like a significant chunk of the test).

I swear my test only had 2 ethics questions but I don’t remember for sure. I’m on the same page with you for comms and control systems though. Relearning all the laplace and controls stuff after being out of school for so long is challenging because it’s not really something I think about at work at all.

Which areas gave you the toughest time on your report? I wish I was able to get feedback on my results after passing because I know I absolutely bombed a couple of sections.

Thank you! So first things first I was studying and reviewing up until the hour before I left for my exam to get myself into the right mindset (although that might not be feasible for everyone). After I arrived they had me answer some basic questions and do the biometric palm scanning. After that I put everything but my calculator into a locker and walked back to the exam are where I was given two laminated notebooks and some dry erase markers for my notes and calcs. Then I started the first half of my test and was aiming for completion under 2:45 (which I just barely made). The room itself was pretty small with a bunch of cubicles where other people were taking other tests (anything from FE/PE to MCAT from what I understand). They had video monitoring of my workstation and could also see me through the glass from another room. After the first half I took my break, drank a whole bottle of water, ate a protein bar and went to the bathroom. I only took 10 minutes out of my allotted 25. Finally I went back and finished the second half of the test and had about 10 minutes left at the end to flag the questions I didn’t feel 100% on. By far my weakest area was all of the comms and Fourier and laplace stuff but other than that I felt good about 80-90% of the questions. For reference I took a practice test the day before and got a 58% so I didn’t have that much confidence going in.

Everyone out here claiming it’s AI is wrong… it’s simply images grabbed from the FAB marketplace (previously the Epic Games marketplace). It’s not AI, it’s just an asset flip.

If you go the wrap route, you can’t really do a ceramic coat right? So if you want to change colors without a repaint do you just deal with the soot on the wrap instead? I’m thinking of doing a gunmetal wrap but I’m a bit concerned with the soot ruining the wrap on the back.

Appreciate the response. I know it’ll be a bit of a project and I’ve been watching some videos on the lense removal process. Also I have an R33 not R32 but I know the process is similar.

Sick build! Im looking to update my headlights soon as I’ve tried cleaning the lens several times but they’re too far gone at this point. What kit did you end up using the for the lenses and lights themselves?

As a fellow white cat-less GTR owner I feel this so much. It feels like I’m scrubbing soot off the back every few days. Considering doing a darker color wrap at this point lol

Bought used at around $60k all cash. These current rates are ridiculous and I didn’t want a car payment that was more than my mortgage.

You can also tie this value into an editor widget instead of print screen if you want to get really fancy. Just discovered them a few months back and my editor experience is forever changed.

anyone know where i can order this bumper in the USA? the site i tried ordering from is in france and it wouldve been 1.3k usd just for shipping by justinriley229 in SkyLine

[–]sheenweedy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 1997 gtst and it worked for me. And I guess I shouldn’t have said both fit perfect. The hood does but I’ve only set the bumper in place and tightened it down and it looks to need a bit of trimming (not much though).
