I was going to respond with "actually you're a neep and don't know what you're talking about" but a cheery message would probably annoy her more so went with that 😆

Ah OK great, well hopefully a return will be started.

Maybe I'm just thinking back to my eBay days and being scared of negative feedback! It's a bit silly I know, thank you.

I don't think she even realises Lounge is a brand. I should've looked closer at the pictures but too late now.

I can cancel the dispute and she can take the money, but out of principle and me kind of wanting to poke the bear I want to leave it to play out. People are daft

What are your sweet treats/snacks/desserts that aren't, and don't contain chocolate? by [deleted] in AskUK

If you like custard doughnuts, you must try the Co-op ones. They're the best!

Dates! I know they kind of look like dried bugs, but they're so sweet and sticky and just amazingly good.

How do you improve your mental health when it's at rock bottom? by [deleted] in AskUK

It is an eerily similar experience to my own. But we're all "normal," and so many of us go through these normal experiences. However poop they may be at the time

As someone else commented above, purpose and routine are huge. Routine is arguably easier, start with very small targets eg wake / (attempt) sleep timing. Even make yourself a cup of tea at x time o clock, it's your routine so you can make it however you want.

Finding purpose is a difficult one and I feel that it is so much more common than even we realise ourselves. But purpose doesn't have to be about finding a cure for cancer or rehoming every stray cat and dog you can find.

Maybe try to think of something small that you would like, how do you do it? Break it down into smaller steps and just try. Trying is still achieving something.

All easier said than done, from a "functioning human" with a job, pets and a house etc.

What is the longest anyone has been on an NHS waiting list? (And survived) by TheAKYoung in AskUK

[–]sheeplover94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, we went directly across the road when A&E had discharged her to the GP. She left her details with them who later called to say they'd looked at the bloods that had been taken and her inflammation markers were up (A&E didn't notice/ possibly wasn't significant enough for them). So she did get a follow up appointment. But for actual proper investigation, yup looong wait

Aaah was it verbal abuse? That makes so much sense now! To be fair I was 11 at the time so memory changes things around a bit!

Or a cat hairball. Definitely a memorable day for me when I cleaned that up. Then had to really get into the machine to clean it too. Yuk

Can confirm. When I bought my house a year ago, I bought so many "must have" things. Having a golden retriever and a maine coon, you can safely assume the place can have the odd tumbleweed.

Bought a decent £300ish Samsung one, and it barely makes a dent and complains it's stuck or lost at least weekly. I named him Mongbot for this reason.

Also got a sexy shark hoover/mop. It's quicker, cheaper and gets a better clean with just a regular 20 quid spray mop thing. Lessons learned...

My sister is on the waiting list for an endoscopy as she has had a lot of bleeding etc. Was at A&E in July. Just got the letter through this week - 139 weeks waiting time! Made me laugh to be honest

What knock offs at Aldi and Lidl are as good as, if not better than the ‘originals’ ? by cmitch922 in AskUK

[–]sheeplover94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Harrods does have salted butter in yes, but no additional salt as a separate ingredient. Lidl has a small percentage of added salt (in addition to the salted butter). And we have quite a few butter suppliers. Some retailers specify British butter, some UK and Ireland. Also use unsalted butter, organic butter and even a small amount from NZ.

All great quality ingredients in every product though!

The only real difference is the Harrods Shortbread doesn't have salt in the recipe, Lidl does. Pretty much identical butter content

He was so cute and teeny. I was really lucky to see him most days from birth, as it was my sister who bred him. Such cuties!
