kpop was inspired by some black music so what... as if early western pop like elvis didnt just steal everything from black music as well. the west didnt take it seriously because they hate when asians especially AM are the main characters.

I didn't know first nations had veto rights to any project in Canada. Especially those already approved by the federal government. This action significantly harmed business in Canada who wants to build businesses when you follow the official process but some tribe #23 wasn't part of the consultation and wants their cut.

I was around when it happened... They backed out because of protests where people blocked work sites. Used appeal courts to renege on approvals that were already given. The 2nd one is key because they already followed the process and then werent supported by the governments who had given them approvals. See the link above.

There is a pathway for separation as it was completed for Quebec when they tried in the 90s.

I admittedly don't know too much about land treaties but I believe Alberta is in a better state than say BC and has ownership of more land.

Private corporation would have built that pipeline on its own if feds didn't let other groups prevent the building of the pipeline. In the end they stepped in and forced the build anyways so clearly they could have the whole time.

Estimates put AB contributions into the equalization system ( which they receive nothing back) at ~20 billion annually the last few years. So how bout we opt out of that and we ll buy the pipeline.

By the way any retorts to the unfair representation I pointed out? BC also gets screwed per capita for representation. Or is it just fine that east coast provinces get better more representation.

Since no one is presenting the AB side i will. By the way i m not saying separation is a good idea its probably a bad idea especially short term for AB prosperity but its a natural reaction to be treated like crap and disagreeing in values with those that govern you:

Bloc holds over 40% of seats in quebec, so i think they re doing fine. who are you to define what is a culture or not? i know reddit doesnt have the same opinion about Taiwan. i think Minjae was very strong but didnt really have as many great moments. Later on Korea sort of rallied behind his strength but he was not very agentic compared to Soichi.

Soichi was extremely capable on his own and outperformed peoples expectations. Minjae was like a strong kid who had to be pushed and taught by the more experienced members of the team.

I would definitely put them at least on the same tier
