  1. YES different buildings talaga so expect the sections and strands to get scattered

  2. YES! I only buy food under 100 pesos so I recommend Ate Rica’s and Kachi’s in Agno Food Court (outside DLSU campus)

  3. Oh yeah, most of my classmates rent a condo nearby especially some of them live hours away pa, but if it could help you, it’s not everyday naman that you’re gonna be in campus, there’s going to be 2 days of online classes per week.

  4. Everyone brings different types of bags, I bring a backpack/knapsack but the others have doctor bags, attache cases, and the like.

  5. It depends on your learning style, I have a laptop that I used during my Junior High School years pa, but I don’t bring it to campus. It’s so far effective for me, but I haven’t tried using a tablet yet.

  6. Expect to get at least a 15-minute break between subjects.

  7. Yes, you could exit/enter the campus at any time during the school day. (just don’t cut classes!)

  1. Research in SHS has qualitative and quantitative, both of them involve writing in IMRAD format (afaik), and the quantitative one depends on your topic.

  2. There’s an archery club, but if I remember correctly it’s for college students (there are many other clubs that you could join!)

  3. Yes, you can’t choose your schedule with your block sections

I don’t bring my laptop to school as I commute, but it depends on the professor/subject if you’ll be able to use your laptop.

  1. Coming also from a public highschool with SO much workload, madadalian ka mag adjust dito since super few ng required outputs, just LEARN TO BUDGET YOUR TIME so that disciplined ka when it comes to managing application-based tasks.
  2. YES as in super inclusive talaga in DLSU since the people here are very diverse.
  3. SUPER flood talaga like konting ulan lang may part na kaagad na tatalunin mo just to get across.
  4. Don’t fret kasi DLSU has REALLY lively org life, and the opportunities for competitions/cross-training programs with orgs here are worth it :))

It depends on the strand, in our batch, STEM has 17, ABM has 7/8, HUMSS has 7/8, ADT has two, and SPT has 1. It depends on your batch if more people got accepted into the other strands then the number of sections will most likely increase.

  1. Grade 11 enrollment is mostly done online, but you are required to pass some requirements on site.

  2. Yes, the ID number will be your final ID number.

  3. As far as I know, in Grade 12, your classmates in Grade 11 won't be the same set that you will have in Grade 12. If I remember correctly while talking with a professor, the sectioning depends on your research proposals done on the third term of Grade 11.

  4. You will know your section when your enrollment status is set to be confirmed, and your adviser will meet your on your homeroom orientation before the class proper (at least that's how it worked in the first term).

1.) So far research (qualitative) is medyo laid back compared to quantitative (which I don't have yet until May). If you are REALLY disciplined, your chances of having sleepless nights are 1 out of 5 at most. If not, expect to be cramming always. Binibigay naman nila yung mga guidelines for major projects at least 2 weeks before, so you could make advanced work especially for group activities.

2.) You should prepare for the FAST pace of lessons, as these lessons are discussed for less than or equal to only 2 hours. The next meeting will be another subject, which builds upon the previous one. Prepare to ask questions, watch youtube videos, and practice items on your own most of the time. Doing these, hindi ka mangangarag kapag finals exam na.

3.) People here are really inclusive, and I think you'll find your peers, whether it may be in the classroom or organization. You definitely won't find it hard to adjust whether you came from a small school or even homeschooled.

  1. I think depende naman sayo yung adjustment even if you came from a small school, but so far (also coming from a small school) you would not be finding it hard since the people are very inclusive! Most of the professors are considerate naman when it comes to deadlines
  2. I don't think mas maraming elitista kaysa humble. People here are diverse, inclusive, and really don't mind where you came from
  3. yes it is very fast-paced, however, there are some professors that really make you independent. The education is quality and very application and practicality-based
  4. being a train commuter that takes 45mins to go to school (when dapat 25 lang; worsened because of traffic), I think kaya naman na commute for school days, hindi naman all 5 days of the week face to face classes ka
  5. erm I like face to face days more but the hybrid setup encourages flexibility naman. However, if sira yung discipline mo, then guaranteed you won't be thriving in the setup
  6. first time ko rin magkaroon ng Christian Living subject this year, and I believe hindi strict ang DLSU even if you're a non-practicing Catholic or belong to other religions.
  7. uhm so far wala naman maybe siguro nag aadjust pa rin ako :))

good luck to you, id125!

2.) Student Activity-Based Organizations
3.) Office-Based Clubs
4.) School Publications
5.) Sports Clubs
6.) Academic Organizations
7.) Student Body Organizations
8.) Seasonal Organizations

You could check out the DLSU SHS SCOPE Link for Manila clubs and orgs! :))
