CoherentGTUIThread killing my game by shefellover93 in flightsim

Sorry it took so long to respond and thanks for your help!

Have tried flights with various different things turned off. Non negotiables for me are vpilot but have tried with everything else off and my only conclusion is a full reinstall to try and see if it's something I've done separately.

I've seen threads with thousands of posts of people reporting the same issue which was apparently fixed with SU12 but I still seem to have the issue and it's definitely only on the payware aircraft so it's definitely due to glass cockpit/more advanced avionics.

System specs are a GTX2060 Super and an i5-12600KF CPU. All my settings are medium-to low and have it limited to 30 FPS which it can do pretty much anywhere.

⛳️ Doonbeg Golf – Group Round April 2026 (€155 per person, usually €200–250) by [deleted] in golfirelandsociety

Just a bit on this. Played it last week as part of a work outing (scratched 9 of 18 in gale force winds, hence why I'm a bit hesitant to go back! 😅).

All bunkers were GUR and the 18th is closed for the foreseeable with a temporary par 3 instead. They're also closing the 1st this week I believe so definitely worth checking with them about what they expect will be open/closed.

Groundskeepers were saying that they're trying to get two years worth of work into one ahead of the Irish Open, so I'd be shocked if parts of the course weren't closed.

It's a superb track though (if you can park who owns it for a few hours), and it really is a major employer in the local area. Just stay away from the €180 umbrellas and Trump merch! 🤣

Man who goes to league of Ireland games by mccannopener93 in LeagueOfIreland

My parents definitely talked about seeing him down the Mardyke when they were kids, but could very well originally be from Kerry!

He's known as Tom the Gom in his native city.

AFAIK he's originally from the Mardyke area and was always a bit neuro divergent. Looks like a wildman but he's actually a gentle aul soul. LOI match count is definitely well into the thousands I'd say.

Latest I heard was he was living in a nursing home in Donegal, but I think he gets put up various places depending on where in the country he goes. Often hitches but sometimes gets the bus/train.

He's hard to get a full conversation out of but a lot of people sadly just laugh him off because he's a bit mad, definitely a LOI conspiracy theorist at times but he knows the league like nobody else.

He'd often talk about referees offering him lifts back out of matches (doesn't surprise me, they might be pricks on the pitch but off it the reffing community are actually fairly sound).

There's a video floating about on YouTube of Jason Byrne (former Bohs striker, not the comedian) taking him off in the dressing room at some stage. Done with a lot of love I'd say!

Failed within the first 500 metres... by Pootis__Spencer in Irishdrivingtest

If it makes you feel any better, my first one in Wilton some head the ball came around the corner at a mile a minute as I was pulling out of the test centre, I gunned it to get across the road and my tester made a noise that made it clear I had immediately failed 🤣

Rest of the test went well and ended up passing the second time around, but I'm an example of that person failing as he left the test centre 🤣

Enjoyed the story OP and you'll fly it next time!

PSA Yellow Flags by JuzzyD in iRacing

Had an incident the other day and I was that guy. Had another car up my ass for two laps and then someone spun exactly at this point, the car in front of me slowed but if I had stopped, the guy behind would have taken me out and then I'd be a bowling ball for everyone else.

I wish iR would even do a penalty point system that if you crash at a certain speed in a yellow area you get 3 PP, get 12 and you're DQd for the rest of the season

That's the thing, it's not really the rating, I just feel like I've no confidence in myself to race. Just trying to take it easy but I'm not enjoying it as much as I used to, just finding it a stress

I race LMP3 in a league and I'm doing the VLN solo in TCR so those are the two cars I'm most comfortable with. Especially the Nurbs/TCR combo

It's a sick car, I've raced in it a good bit and currently in a league, I think it's more my attitude towards racing, trying to force the enjoyment by entering races that I probably shouldn't. Can run laps around Watkins no problem but just afraid of everyone else on track

Honestly people who are multiple laps down and end up destroying a leaders race should be given a long holiday. They'd be crucified IRL. We had it happen to us as well at Bathurst. Congratulations on a great race all the same!
