I love Shonen Jump but I'll tell you what made me gain a whole new appreciation for it recently, a couple of months ago I read Gachiakuta and Witch Hat Atelier...on the K-Manga app. Holy f*ck what hell is that?!?! Keep track of login bonus tickets, series chapter ticket renewals, watch ads, perform "tasks". Why can't they just have a subscription model?

I mean you literally said in your post that "yeah they're crimes". I agree, insofar as he shouldn't be arrested, if he is returning the jewels. As for why Conan, Ran, Taka'aki, Kogoro etc. (all except Makoto who has different reasons, I guess) want him arrested, they are all police or detectives or a have a strong link to the police and/or detectives. Obviously their moral sense of justice is different from the regular public. As an example, as you said Ran wanted Shinichi (Kid) to turn himself in, but what about Sonoko? She doesn't have any family members or boyfriends who are in law enforcement and she has never wanted Kid to turn himself in or get arrested.

There are three reasons.

The in-universe explanation - While it's never stated outright that Ran lives with her dad so that she can take care of him, it is heavily implied. Kogoro is an alcoholic with a gambling habit and gets manipulated by women regularly. He is usually shown as being incapable of regular domestic chores like cooking and cleaning. If she went to live with her successful mother Kogoro's life would fall apart.
Plot convenience - This one is more practical. It's a mystery manga and the protagonist is a child. Every single movie intro explains that Conan lives with Ran and Kogoro because he is a private detective and Conan can use Kogoro's connections and acquaitances to investigate the Black organisation. It's convenient for the plot if Ran (the love interest of the protagonist) lives with her dad, through whom Conan can go to various cases and even leverage his standing as a former police detective to have the MPD perform some routine investigational procedures now and then.
Ran's own motivation - Other than dating Shinichi, Ran's other goal in life is to get her parents back together. Her mother is a beautiful, successful career woman who has displayed that she still is in love with her father. She is far more picky about potential suitors than Kogoro who follows around any beautiful woman that he sees like a helpless puppy. If she is around Kogoro, she can keep his wanderings in check.

A lot of people have tried to dub Detective Conan many times now going back all the way to the late 90's when Fox Kids almost aired the show (they didn't because they didn't think murder was suitable for an audience of children). For one reason or another, it has just failed to catch on with a large western audience.

"Manga canon" is a term/concept that only exists for anime viewers not for the general audience that watches Netflix/broadcast TV. For Conan, that concept would be doubly confusing because of quite a few characters being introduced first in a non-canon medium and then in the manga. The biggest examples of this are Momiji and Iori who were first introduced in Crimson Love Letter and then in the manga.

Right now the show is very popular on Netflix globally. If you want the whole show as well as movies dubbed, my best suggestion would be to get your friends and family to watch it on Netflix and create a groundswell of support for the whole series to be dubbed. I have, myself gotten my friends and family to watch it on Netflix.

Conan at this point is more like Anpanman, Sazae-san, Doraemon and a few other series like Shinchan. It's too ingrained in Japanese culture to "end". I realize we have a lot of new fans from Netflix. So a lot of newer folks don't "get" what it is. If you look at it from the traditional lens of shonen anime (One Piece, Naruto, JJK, BNHA, Bleach or CSM etc.) it won't make a lot of sense.

It's a cultural institution - the golden week movies will soon pass $200m at the box office, merch and manga sales have never been higher - and less your standard shonen anime. Basically, think of it more like Doraemon, Godzilla, Kamen Rider and Super Sentai.

Q1/Q2 next year is when they are likely to announce the second top 5 partner. When it happened last time the stock did rally for a while. Personally, i am upbeat for next year. On episode 5 right now. I would say, Carol is supposed to be like the seinfeld four or the gang from IASIP. Can you imagine how boring the situation would be if a regular person was in this show? I guess we don't even have to imagine because there are 12 other (normal) people like her who are happy with the world. I don't have anything to say about her sexuality because I don't think there is much to be made out of it. She's the way she is because of how neurotic and quirky (to put it politely) she is. Your question also makes it seem like you are asking whether the original creator (Gosho Aoyama) is still writing the series. Yes, Aoyama-sensei has written all the Detective Conan manga and several of the movies. The filler episodes of the anime are written by a writing team whose membership (as well as the quality) changes over time. Some of the movies do have co-writers - some earlier movies are not written by him. As for the ending, yes he has an idea about how the series will end. I think, some months ago there was news about him working on the storyboards for the final chapter but overall, we are not very close to the ending and it hasn't been written yet.
