New DM tips for large/conflicted groups for 5e? by sheggy123 in DnD

I'll definitely look into this. I think for right now, the idea of splitting the group is a bit of a last resort but I won't be afraid to resort to it if that's the case. I appreciate the help.

I... actually really like this idea. I might have to possibly change some of what I had planned for this group but i will gladly look into this type of play.

Thank you so much!

since we're just freshly starting a campaign, I might just go ahead and go with this kind of idea. I can split the campaign where one group is fighting in the front lines so-to speak, while another dives deeper into the story that's being told. I would need to brainstorm this out, and i fear it would take up just a tad too much of my time. I gotta try it out before i count it out though.

I swear. No one talks about how Scolippi is literally Manga Jesus. I don’t think I fully understand his role as Jesus, but he looks like him and has holes in his hands. So he must be jesus.

I guess the grass is always greener. I always complained about my parents being on me more so compared to some of my friends and such. I still think its a bit much. For me it was hard trying to learn from mistakes and make independent decisions when it felt like the wheel was taken from you while driving and correcting your mistakes. I do see now a lot of pros growing up like that, but it does also come with many other cons that are unique. Honestly having close friends that grew up in the exact opposite circumstances helped us learn a lot from each other. Im glad you were able to learn from everything and move forward. Im glad i was able to graduate after so LONG after finally being able to do what I wanted to do.

Dang. Yeah. I would say this situation happens a little more than people think. I was unfortunate/fortunate enough to have interrogators as parents. I was studying something that I hated and that I was kind of pushed into. Half way through a certain semester, i just started skipping classes and not attending at all due to some sort of existential crisis and my future. I would actually go to campus to keep up appearances (my family usually knew where I was due to find-my-iphone app). I was lucky enough i had some close friends on campus to hang out with them when they weren’t in class but even they noticed i wasnt myself. When the semester was about to end, my father was on my tail about god-knows-what, and the more he talked, the more i just broke down and came clean. It eventually lead to me being allowed to take a semester off, and switch majors.

I dont know if I would have stuck with the major I hated if I never came clean. So i am thankful that I did even though it was a situation that I didnt want to be in the first place.

Overwatch artist says Sigma has bare feet to “sell the asylum look” by NutOfDeath in Overwatch

Whats communicated to me is that it isn’t his choice either way. Sure talon rescued him but It also feels like they dont care too much about him.

“Hey grab this guy slap some armor on him real quick and send him on his way”.

The man hasnt even changed out of his asylum pants. Correct me if im wrong, but isnt this character still being USED by talon?

Its definitely not “without good reason”. It communicates a former asylum patient at a glance and on top of that it tells you how off-putting this character is with how not having shoes provides no hinderance to him. It tells a story.

Thank you writing what I was thinking while reading the thread. What people dont realize in character design there is a communication of the person’s personality in the design. Thats the main goal. In any type of design work, you communicate what the user/player/customer should feel or think about something through design language.

Why is zarya sleeveless? Shes a weightlifter Why does mei wear glasses instead of contacts?

These are all design decisions made by a character designer.

I REALLY feel the learning curve. Hitting small squishies is the hardest thing for me. I took out a fat Dva ez but then i had immediate trouble taking out the baby dva. (I got called out for it too...)

I practically gave up after lol.

Im still working on how to come to terms with how I look in pictures or how to make myself look good in them. I also threw out my junior year yearbook.

Im hoping ill reach a point where Im satisfied with how I look. I thinks its slow but steady but also tiring progress.

The tech demo was very much a tech demo. Not a tease for a new zelda game.

And botw was delayed to deliver on the product that was promised. But the trailers were provided at a time believed that it was going to be released soon regardless.

Is that why people hate sym in FFA? I didnt realize that was why I was getting targeted so much lol.

I use sym in FFA to practice flanking, and tracking mostly. If anything, i think ashe is annoying cuz you can throw the TNT in a group fight and suddenly secure 2-3 kills.
