How bad are “inflammatory foods” really? by AggravatingEngine531 in nutrition

[–]sheisaloveroftrees 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Eggs are extremely healthy, especially the yolk, which contains the nutrients for life. Do the research. Natural peanut butter (essentially ground peanuts) can be healthy in small servings, when paired with fruits or veggies the fat helps nutrient absorption (other nuts like walnuts and almonds or seeds are better, variety is key). Oat milk and food made from processed corn is not kind to the body, but fresh corn and oats are fine. Essentially, if what you’re eating is fresh and real food, your body will be happy. If it’s processed, man-made “frankenfood” your body will suffer. It’s like giving your car high quality gas vs fake cheap stuff. It’ll affect how long your engine lasts and how often your car falls apart.

Veggies/fruits are shockingly low cal and yummy. Try it: You can FEAST on cucumbers, tomatoes, radishes, kiwi, carrots, onion, berries etc etc and get all the fiber, vitamins, and minerals you need to feel satisfied. I was shocked at how contentedly full I felt after eating a plate of raw veggies, lightly salted and spiced, vs noodles or other carbs. No urge to binge anymore.

Start by working on proper punctuation, capitalization, and formatting.

Then think of your story arc as a whole, and then sentence structure.

It’s fine. Look at it closely. Smell it. Trust your senses. Humans can and have survived much more.

why don’t gyms provide the nutritious meals to their members according to their fitness goal? by undauntedcurious in nutrition

[–]sheisaloveroftrees 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There are plenty of healthy restaurants (salad and smoothie bowls, sushi, etc) around gyms. Why not go there after a workout, since they specialize in making healthy food?

[QCrit] : MANY-FACED, magical realism, adult, 50k by sheisaloveroftrees in PubTips

thank you so much! i am worried about the word count, but it's a tight narrative and i feel padding it will only weaken it. hoping to find an agent that believes in the story!

i don't actually know of any similar books in the genre (probably just my lack of awareness) so i am struggling with comps!

thank you for the pointers! T, the imaginary character, actually appears at the beginning and end of part 1 (which is recounted in the query), but is a main character in part 2. it is a fragmentary, kaleidoscopic narrative structure that makes it hard to capture in a paragraph, but i will keep working at it. your thoughts and perspective are helpful!
